'53 F100 Crown Vic Chassis Swap pt. 17: Front end gets supported
Просмотров 13114 дней назад
Todays Episode, I had an idea on how to hold up my front end, So I get out in the garage for an hour and throw some metal at the truck. Some more work still needs to be done, it is only tacked in place. It is definitely a step in the right direction. #f100 #ford #fordf100 #effie #midfifty #truck #hotrod #kustom #ratrod #patina #crownvic #chassisswap #frameswap #oldschool
'53 F100 Crown Vic Chassis Swap pt.16: Bed structure built, wiring laid out & front end testing
Просмотров 29214 дней назад
This episode, the bed structure gets built and fitting to the crown vic trunk floor. My secondary accessory mini circuit gets installed and the light wiring gets routed. And to top it off, I throw on the front end, bolt the fenders to the cab and work on getting the height correct before I start building front end support. Stay tuned for the front end to installed next, for good.... Hopefully. ...

Wow. Very cool
It’s a little too nice for me 😂
You’ll be cruising the streets in no time
I hope so! It’s cruising season. 💪
Damn !!!! Babies are cute ........ Wives are beautiful ........ But this truck is..... GORGEOUS
Hahah thanks man, I appreciate that.
Wow, that really does look good
Thank you!
Perfect!
It is sitting really good on stock suspension haha.
@@IronSlugs_garage looks great to me
@@WhiskeyDents thank you! Did you see my bed floor? I’m pretty excited how that turned out.
@@IronSlugs_garage I need to get caught up on your videos. I’m gonna start watching them this morning.
@@WhiskeyDents I only put up a quick little short, I’m working on the full video right now. 👨💻
Dude i wanna obtain and built a patina'd 32 ford step side so bad but people want outrageous prices at the moment.
I hear you there. It is really to find stuff for a good deal.
@IronSlugs_garage yes it is man. People want chicken soup prices for chicken shit nowadays.
@@That1E_K1129 hahaha yup! I’ve definitely seen a lot of that.
You build the best. Keep it up.
I appreciate that, thank you. Just trying! Haha. I’m really happy how the bed flood turned out though.
I’ve become absolutely obsessed with model A’s
Same!! They definitely caught my attention most at the car show. I’ve been watching a lot of T.R.O.G. Lately, day dreaming about hot rodding in an old coupe haha.
@@IronSlugs_garage hahaha I’ve been literally doing the same thing
@@WhiskeyDents hahah right on, it looks like a great time. Have you watched “the motor underground- a hotrod revolution” series? I thought that was really good.
@@IronSlugs_garage no but I will definitely check it out
@@WhiskeyDents you’ll have to let me know what you think of it.
Whiskey Dents sent us.
Awesome! Thanks for the follow. I’ll get some stickers sent off to you! I’ve been watching your content for a bit, I enjoy seeing the family involved. My little one gets out in the garage sometimes, it’s a great time.
@@IronSlugs_garage that's awesome glad they get out there. Thanks for watching us
Outstanding! Can’t wait to throw it on Lomax! Thank you!
You’re welcome!
@@IronSlugs_garage should look good on Lomax. I’ll give you a shoutout Friday
I cant take the highway in my ol Ford
Why is that?
Tacoma - Seattle I 5
Very close! Truck was traveling west on 167 to the i5 south exit.
Sick 77 Celica!!! Love the book shot!
Hahah I know you looking for it.
I liked this show😂❤❤❤🎉
It was a good one! Glad I made it out.
👌💪💪🇺🇲🤜👊🤛👍🏁
Juste magnifique ! La General Lee Dodge Charger 💙
1951 ford 100 / half ton v8 flat head
Flathead was definitely ripped out of this truck haha.
Ford stopped making f1s in 1953 so it has to be a ford f1 no it a ford f100
@@RUclipsChannal-ve9fo A local bloke here is still driving his '54 F100. He put a Small block Chrysler in it in the late '70's, but replaced it with a 351 Ford when he finally wore out the Mopar some 20 years later. He would be in his mid eighties now & still drives his Snow White F100 with his cowboy hat everywhere he goes
How sweet it is? Ford '56 (?)
I’m not sure on exact year, my guess is late 40’s. I think it’s the generation before the 53-56 body style. It was a sweet truck though and sounded awesome! It’s too bad the freeway wind is all the video was able to pick up haha.
Love it , thank you. 😂❤❤❤❤
It’s a great car!
Glad the extreme chop tops aren't a thing anymore. Ya know the ones with a 2" windshield 👎
Dang, that nova is super clean 👌
You’ll see it again at kenworth family day, take all the photos you want haha.
MOPAR RULES.
mopar or no car, I think that's one of the sayings haha. I don't prefer one over the other, I just like old cars.
Nice! And Authentic..👍👍👍
yes it is! it was an awesome car to see. I saw a lot of great builds today. tons of footage to go through now haha.
Wipers? Have u done the video on the fuel filler neck yet ?
No I haven’t got video of the filler next or the wipers yet. I’ll definitely get to the filler neck soon.
The next time you see that hood it’ll be in the rearview mirror.
Hahaha yup!! I haven’t built the front support yet or put on the reverse flip hood kit. I threw the hood on to help me line up the front end and try get it at the right level.
Doing same build except mine I'm using the town car dash. Looking forward on how you do wipers and fuel neck
Right on! Hope the stock dash works good for you. I thought it was way too big to fit in the cab and I like the original truck dash, so I did what I could to keep it original. With my fuel neck, I cut the fill tube short and put in a 90° rubber fill tube and it’s ran to my bed floor. When I lay my wood floor down I’ll get in to detail about it. I still need to compete the vent tube on it so I haven’t shown any footage of the fill neck yet. And I still have my trucks wiper motor, linkage and arm all installed, no idea if they work but I have my secondary mini circuit for accessories so I’ll run my wiper power to that and control the wipers with some wiper control I got from speedway. They have a light and wiper control kit for $30 haha.
im jelussses
Dont be! This videos brought me back to the beginning of the build! Wow, how far this thing has come. Was just a wrecked crown Vic not too long ago.
cool man all i need is a crown vic only bummer is i live on a little island in the middle of the pacific ocean it costs 12,000 dollars plus the car to get it
That sounds rough to get anything shipped! Do you have an old truck already?
Nice work dude. I'm working in the same truck.
Thank you! And that’s awesome, are you doing a chassis swap too?
your pretty good dude
Thanks, I appreciate it. A lot of just figure it out as I go along haha.
It. Look. OK. Old. Truke😅😅
Was that a fcking ls7?🤣🤣🤣
I don’t even know haha.
It's great to see the kid getting involved 👍
It is, I really enjoy having her out there and seeing her enjoy her garage time.
It was spider free last week lol
Hahah yup! Only took a few days and they were every where. I went to test fit my tailgate…. Swarms of them all over the in the bed… 🔥🔥
Nice truck.
Thank you. It’s coming together!
How does it handle? Does it feel good?
From my short drive, pot hole filled road, it was very smooth, cab felt real solid on the frame. When I take it for a longer drive in my neighborhood, I’ll have a better description. I was too stoked that it went down the block and back. The first time I tried, steering locked up and driveline hit the floor. Never got out of my driveway haha.
Coming along nice. Burnout was a must !! id honestly done the same .
Thanks, I appreciate it! My only regret, I didn’t rip those tires off longer 😂
Good job, dude! 6:20 👌🏻
Thanks man! It was pretty sweet to take it down the road. No driveline hitting the floor and being able to steer, it was great haha. And a little burner to finish the test drive is always cool. 😎. It’s almost cruising season, I need to get pushing on this thing. Been a slow few weeks around here.
Heavy heavy traffic right there. Hoooooo weeeee
Hahahah yeah I know it looks like none in the video. But they wouldn’t stop coming, my road is being used as a pass through due to construction.
@@IronSlugs_garage Oh i tought it was sarcastic xD. My village got used to be paved up to a point and after that it was gravel road. about 3 years ago it got paved and connected to another road. the traffic increased tremendously
@@lukaperko9744 they’re re-paving the road around here and putting in sidewalks. It’s been done for a couple weeks now but just this week they’ve been closing the road every night causing traffic down my road again. Soon as I parked it they started coming through again. When the truck looks like a truck again, I will be redeeming my burnout. Stay tuned! Haha
Fuck yeah
It was pretty sweet to get it out of the garage!
looks sick
It definitely is! Hope to get more footage this summer.
Hy
Song took me back to 11th grade lol
Haha for sure! Takes me right back to highschool too.
crispy
Agreed! Haha.
Perfect song for a bad ass truck 👍🏼😎👍🏼
Couldn’t agree more!
What did you cut out of wiring? I removed elect windows, door locks and airbag system. Runs great but no OBD port connection or gauge cluster function. Any ideas ? 67 international vic swap.
I removed all passenger side wiring, all radio and hvac wiring in the center of the dash, all wiring that goes to the steering column connection( ignition wiring were spliced down to 3 wires) headlight switch wiring, brake lights, interior lights, kept brake pedal and throttle pedal wiring, I haven’t removed any cluster or obd wires, I removed hvac wires from engine side of harness, I didn’t keep that many wires compared to what it was. I have a wire diagram book and it break it down where every wire is laid out in the crown Vic, I can share that in a video with what I removed and I can share the obd port wiring along with cluster wiring if needed. It is 09 specific so depending on your year wires might have changed. But my first thought for those not working would be ground missed. I have ran in to a few missing ground issues for little to big things not working.
@@IronSlugs_garage thanks so much for responding. I'm getting a book for 08 crn vic p71. Will look into grounding. One thing I found was 12v port/cigarette lighter needed to be plugged into harness for gas gauge to work. Thx again. Love your channel
@@jeffbrook6054 thank you, I appreciate that. Any where I can help, I’m happy to. My fuel gauge works and I removed my cigarette lighter.
I would send a few photos of project but don't know how. Lol not tec smart.
@@jeffbrook6054 facebook.com/adin.matthew.9?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v I’m not real tech savvy either. Maybe this link will work. I have a Facebook created, simply for marketplace purposes but if you want to share photos through messenger there. Feel free!
4:05 😱 Phew ok, man Drive by wire had me stressed for ya
Me too man. My first thought was “great…. I’m never going to figure this one out” hahah. I was so relieved it was as simple as pushing a connector all the way on.
Get it little one your so cool
She is pretty rad 👍 definitely cooler than her dad 😂
Got a 55 F 100project and 460 but life gets in way sometimes . Great job ,will be watching .
Yeah I hear you there. And that’s awesome, best of luck on your build. 👍
This is so cool bro
Thank you! It’s coming together. Some days I never thought it would 😂
