The Real Choir is 20 years! And with 20 years of hard work, The Real Choir has become one of the best amateur choirs in Norway in its genre!

The planning of the choir began in 1999, and after four years the first audition was held. A few weeks after that the first exercise was conducted. Since then, the choir has had a steady and sound development, both in terms of the growing number of members and musically. All singers in the choir has been through an audition. We believe that is an important part of the choir's progress.

The Real Choir stems from an idea to try to do something a little different and create something a bit different than anything else. The choir is politically and religiously neutral.

Our repertoire shows that the choir has a great width and variety in musical expression. However, the main emphasis is popular music and music that most of our audience have heard before and have a relation to.
