BOB was BING'S Brother; He had three sons, Steve, Chris, and Bobby Jr. Chris had a Vegas show for years. PHIL'S " White Christmas" is something we NEEDED THIS Christmas TOO! MOST EXCELLENT & MOST ELOQUENT and a combination of the GENES and some HARD WORK! GOOD FOR YOU, PHIL! Crooners, and those " talk-singers,", Ha...yes, back when the word "entertainment' meant "talented , competent and educated!" I suggest he sing an ALBUM and title it " Singing From the Heart Again!" I know Phil will be too busy to get back to little old unknown songwriter me, but thought YOU might enjoy this: He's apparently inherited both the "talk-sing flare" as well as the love song "heart," yes ? VERSATILE He seemed to just "naturally" belt it out like his grandfather did before, yes ? If he becomes extremely comfortable ON STAGE as his grandfather and his buddies were, he'll "fill the bill "perfectly! I knew Bing's son, Bobby Jr., quite well-so I'll share my thoughts with you, that I shared with PHIL: Phil could "carry the torch" couldn't he?! So tired of the sensational setting fires to the stages and females removing their clothes just to SCREAM into a microphone---He could start a new TREND---call it " Singing From the Heart Again!?" I've got a song just waiting to be sung, he could do really well! Pray that he likes it! Thanks! "I Miss You More" Good One, Phil! Good to see you "Out There, and Giving it a Try!" HA! Good to "HEAR" you too! But you got me a big confused-We never HEARD about you! My Aunt Catherine went to film " Blue Hawaii" with Elvis, caring for the three boys, and all we HEARD about when we met with Bobby Jr., Ruby (when they lived in that little house on Colby-Remember? and "Little Tina Marie") was " Steven, in college in Washington State, Chris (the singer on Facebook-Sculptor, too) and Bobby Junior! So, which one is YOUR father ? When Bobby came to see me in Reseda, years ago, he showed me some of his original songs, and they were pretty good-He was just taking on the new "tech" job he called it , with Kelsey Grammar! Are you in contact with RUBY these days? She was quite an "original" in her own right-uniquely different-my Aunt used to say. Bobby told me that Chris was singing in Vegas(back then) and that he thought he should have accepted "advice" from his uncle and worked in recording instead of live performances, or he'd be "getting Vegas Throat real soon!" That's a quote from Bobby, Phil! I really liked Bobby, but he was getting engaged to Ruby at the time and so I avoided flirting with him! Do you have photos of Bobby you could send to ME? The only ones I have are the washed out ones from our trip to Disneyland, Anaheim. "Bobby" reminded me so much OF Elvis-looked like him, didn't he? Knowing you have the VOICE for it, would you listen to a song I think would be great for your new album, I call it, "I Miss You More" and it's on you tube with a picture of FRANK with a cigarette blowing in the wind! Love to talk to you sometime, but looks as though you're going to be very busy in your future. (I sang the song before I found Ancolies (Gilles) in France, to sing it in French also. Let's give it a try, want to? I also suggest another genre/type, titled " The Girl I Almost Married" which is on you tube in English, (my rough) and Italian, by Ana Marie Ceuca with reworked lyrics as " The Man I Almost Married." Like to hear you do "I Ain't no Middleman," too, but it's quite "slang" in the lyrics and very "Rock!" BING AND BOB would BOTH be SO PROUD OF YOU! GOOD FOR YOU!. What is this guy doing? He’s just rambling on and on at the beginning, and the audience obviously isn’t paying any attention whatsoever. This is gibberish! you can hear them (the crowd, the audience ) talking among themselves and not paying any attention to Phil at all ! And his long winded, “essay” on whatever his long-winded essay is about! even the musicians are looking bored! the expressions expressions on their faces say at all! It’s like “all right let’s get it over with already stop talking and let’s play”! I mean look the drummer, cello player, and The piano player:…. they all look bored out of their nut! after about three minutes of this “rambling” It’s as if he’s conducting an ethnomusicology class or something at Gonzaga university! The band members are looking oat him like let’s get on with it already let’s play stop your yapping! the audience is louder than Phil is! For chrissake The funny thing is even when Phil starts singing the audience is still talking amongst themselves, even louder, and not paying attention at all very disrespectful. I doubt that many of them even know who he is or who he’s related to and if they do know, they couldn’t CARE any less! Kind of comical, like out of a movie or something! I feel sorry for the poor musicians more than anyone else! Go let’s god,.., the shit they have to put up with between this guy and the audience. While Phil may not be my favorite singer, the audience could at least show him some respect and shut up for a while and listen to what he’s putting out there? I played a lot of places like this with him, and it was always the same at least 1020 room was into what we were doing! Talk about long-winded, so is this comment, but that is the way I see it! I have had some experience working with Phil Crosby Junior for a minute! He’s not exactly demanding, rapt attention from his audience! Which is unfortunate. It’s a drag for MUSICIAN to be out there doing this and the audience couldn’t care less people walking right in front of him ignoring him. This is the life of a musician… it’s called “paying your dues”!!!!
