Maestro Schwarz is excited for the 2022-23 Masterworks series!
Summary: use vowel shape “ahh” for notes low b flat to low f, relaxed/normal for low g-mid g, “e” for middle A to high F, and for anything higher go back to an “ahh” shape *Low notes with “ahh” vowel shape should be very relaxed and high notes of the same vowel shape should be firmer. *ALL notes should be played with an open embouchure; low jaw
🎉true we are annoying but Imitation is still flattering as long as you don’t steal the work; I bet thousands of good tales could still be told with the great music as a foundation!
Don’t - grown ups are annoying and don’t know anything
Tyyyy
HOLA, TU ADMIRADOR.
I don't understand this because whenever I try to use the double tongue it makes a strange suction and it messes up my entire embouchure
Hello, I'm sorry when you curl your lower lip over your teeth, the dentures or the chin come out unintentionally, should the dentures and chin remain in their usual position, just raise the dentures or the dentures and chin should not be raised
Thank you for sharing!
Obrigado Claudio
Bravo !!! 👏
Really great video in breaking down double tonguing on bassoon! Thanks for this!
Gabriel-double tonguing has eluded me for most of my life-this video give me hope. It's the one thing that has never fallen in place for me relatively easily-but the way you coach this and explain the technique is wonderful and I will get at it now with your video as my main source of information.
best ❤
He was wonderful!!!
❤ Thank you for your interesting lesson. 🎉
사라장이 어느덧 40이 넘었다는게 믿기지 않네요 항상 어린 신동 바이올리스트로 만 기억 됐었는데 . . . . 항상 건강하고 행복하세요.
Is this the Montaganan ?
I agree, looks like a montagnana model, and I’m also thinking there’s a ceiling fan running?
@@cellovid he's in Flordia, bro, it's probably boiling in there.
lol, if only! Montagnana
Great!, thanks a lot for your clear explanation dear teacher and thank you for sharing your knowledge!!! I big hug from Chile 🇨🇱
is this not spiccato rather than staccato?
Not even gonna listen to a racist's performance.
Sarah, I have been following you since you debuted as a wonderful child prodigy. You haven't been in the recording studio for a long time. Any recordings forthcoming?
It's common for PATW to have variations and still be presented as PATW. This can be done because of expired copyright, unless someone, like you maybe, has a sense of conscientiousness about the original, which I really ought to read just to get a sense of the "gold standard" as embraced by Prokofiev. Back in Prokofiev's day, many of the things we take now as commonplace about medicine, both human and veterinary, didn't even exist and would have been thought of as impractical miracles. Death haunted from all angles from infanthood onward. (This is one reason Grandfather was upset with Peter for needless exposure to that risk.) As a modern, I of course thought why not hustle the wolf to the vet and let the duck out of his belly. In one ballet, the wolf apparently spits up the duck. I'm guessing the hunters did not have a rifle, hence "shoot the wolf in the head" wouldn't have been a plausible story element. Shotgunning the wolf would have killed the duck, too. But it does have a weird Grimm fairy tale flavor.
Bravo 🙌🏼 🔥
It's amazing that his tone is that horrible... short and choppy notes... his reeds are atrocious... the heart must not be shaved enough or the tip clipped properly... maybe a beginner Reed course would help you... your wrap on the cane looks a little rough. The COPD and lack of back pressure affects your sound greatly. Maybe a little exercise to open your lungs up a little. Maybe the oboe isn't for you... a string instrument Maybe? Those fingers are a little thick you may hit multiple strings... trombone? But that would require perfect pitch which you don't have soooooooo.... triangle? Your rhythm seems a little off... oh well the world needs ditch diggers too.
your kind of being rude hes a nice old person
What an awful comment. Having played in a top-class German orchestra for most of my career, I can tell you not one single professional oboist cares for the aesthetics of how the reed is wrapped.

Why do you stick out your tongue when you breathe in? I'm not trying to be mean, just curious.
❤
very helpful!!! thank you very much
Thanks!!
I go to the same school
Hi Claudio! Thanks for this. Just started playing cello again - it’s been a month and I pulled a muscle in my left wrist. Doing these exercises help me continue to work on cello using my right arm while I heal.
Thank you so much for sharing these very valuable tips and exercises.
Thank you for sharing. makes al lot more sense than the O that seems to be a trend but doesn't work for me. Back in the seventies I was taught the smile embouchure too.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this video ! May I ask you am advice for the thumb position on the bow? Even if I think of keeping it rounded and the wrist relaxed, at the end of the exercise, I was feeling a strong tension on the articulation of the thumb as well as a bit on the forearm. Thank you in advance!
Wasn't it bowing on the C string?
the video was of a violin
very helpful for composers. Thank you.
Im cellist ldo not understand what you tellig us with tehnic?
This is hidden gold
Perfect work, Mr. Beavers!!!I haven't see anybody make an important video like this---keep posting more videos!!!
I’ll try this tomorrow my bassoon is not with me. That sounds effective but it might not work for me my tongue is really thick and I was practicing on my own.
Don’t - just leave it alone please.
Helped me a lot!!!
Very helpful. Thank you, would welcome more like this!
Thank you! 🙏
Thank you
Where did you get your viola?
Do you even make the cartoon boing sound with the timpani?
Excellent. Thank you.
this was really helpful - thank you. I've always been taught 'doo goo' sound which I was totally unsuccessful with. playing with different shapes like 'ti ki' and 'ta ka' has really helped improve the speed and sound
Thank you for listening and for your kind words
