Ever heard of Cordoba? Me neither but wow!
Cordoba is our 2nd stop on our 2 week road trip in Southern Spain. I've never heard of this city but we were really glad to have stopped here. We also visit a castle where a number of scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed!

Well this video marks the end of an Era for the Great Banana. We finally get to Cartagena, Spain but not before a major last minute hiccup. Ibiza was beautiful and we wish we had more time there but weather issues had us leave early.

I'm stoked to finally get this video out, we're joined by our youngest son Tyler after doing the Spanish Riviera and we make the crossing to Mallorca. We see dolphins along the way and I catch my first tuna!!! We visit some amazing historical sites and try some even more amazing food.

We finally made it to something we have been looking forward to since we started. La Maddalena is a national park and archipelago in northern Sardinia and we thoroughly enjoyed it's beautiful beaches and pristine waters. We met a friendly wild boar and spent time with friends along the way so we hope you join us as well on another Adventure of The Great Banana!

Hi I found this very interesting. Good and real. The reality of eating in high end restaurant s etc. Is important to know what to expect. Good to know if you are being ripped off or that is the rate... I love Sardinia have been there a few times but many years ago and looking forward to cruising there one day but is tree expensive. Bon sailing.

No, it was just a very funny thing I taped. Alicia was mad at me for not paying attention to a wave that came and swept away our shoes. I thought my facial expression was really funny so I wanted to make a GIF of it and I'm thinking of adding it to all my videos at the end 😆

That's not a boat, that's a condo.
True true lol, we often refer to it as our floating condo :) The real advantage to this lifestyle is that if you don't like your view or your neighbors, you can simply pick up anchor and move 😀

I am never going to sail... the seasickness will have me in less than a minute. But it's still fascinating to see the yachting life! I hope everything's well with you. Happy Easter!
Seriously, don't let seasickness stop you. I get extremely seasick, just ask my friends about fishing in Florida :p ... I get seasick while taking a bath. The scopalmine patches work amazing and there are so many other types of medicine that one is bound to help. I have 3 other types I have yet to try. Your body only needs a few days to adjust to the waves so find the right medicine for a few days and you'll be good to go. I'm still using the same scopalmine patch I started with and I'm on it's 4th application. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to work like this but I tell myself it's working and the placebo effect seems real :)

Noto is such an amazing dog. Every time we see him, we give thanks for the joy he has brought everyone and we are thankful we could help him. I shudder to think of how he probably would have died this winter because there would have been no one visiting the park that we found him in. I'm sure he was dependent on the few scraps people might have given him.
Hey, Pat! The first cathedral at Enna was built in an early Renaissance style. The second one is older and the style is called Romanesque. Baroque came much later in terms of styling. Hope you like this little bit of trivia! Either way, thanks for taking us along with you! (And no, no lick dung. Not even if it's goat dung...)

Hello I would love to have you on the phone if you are ok. I want to ask you some advice on how you manage to leave on your boat, the costs, traveling with the dog, sailing training…

I m wondering if you are able to sail the boat alone yet? Are you dealing with warranty issues? How long will you stay in this marina? Where will you go next? Have you sailed with your dog for many hours and how did he handle that ?
@@SevenSummitsSailing Ahh! well up to now I have had a restriction from my insurance company to only be able to sail if I had an experienced captain with me. As of last month this restriction was lifted so I am now able to go on my own. Now that being said I will be going out every day (weather dependent) in a few weeks, practicing with others boaters who have been kind enough to 'show me the ropes' *pun intended*. We have our berth until the end of April but we will likely leave the first week of April. We are still finalizing plans but you'll hear a lot more about that in subsequent videos as well as some footage on my preparations. Misty has been great, she quickly learns to go on the fake grass mat that we bought. We try and schedule short travel days... for us getting there isn't as important as being there and making it safely and with as little stress as possible so when I make my sail plans I try and keep the daily distance to less than 60km (usually around 40km).
