I disagree with your points. The second I saw the shoes, I immediately thought of Tom Sachs GPS. Between the lugged soles, the bacony ankle, the straps, even the colorways are very similar. It’s also marketed the exact same was the GPS were, the do it all, wear everyday, general purpose pair. The durability, the quality, and the materials used compared to other pairs, it is clear that they’re going for the same thing the GPS were.

Got the brownstone colourway. Great fit and fairly good comfortable cushion. It's just under a hundred U.S. equivalent here in Aus. I have the new Nike C1ty… Incredible shoe. The soles are strange though with the cleat - like treads. When walking on smooth surfaces, I don’t feel like I’ve got super confident grip. Anyway, they are so comfortable. I’ve actually ordered a pair in that army green colour too.
