What's scary is that Shin Jinseo is about to overtake Lee Changho as the greatest go player ever. Something that we all thought would be improbable. In Lee's heyday he was at most 120 elo points clear from the next best competitor. Right now Shin is 200 points clear from Ke Jie. Difference between Shin and Ke Jie is larger than Ke Jie and 44th ranked player. Obviously Lee has been No. 1 player for 5,600 days which is much longer than Shin's 2,000 days so we will have to wait and see. But Shin's pure dominance I think already guarantees that he will be one of the greatest ever.

The record may probably be wrong as I remember Shin is not always No.1 since 2018, and also Lee Sedol is No.4 when alphago appeared. It's likely a curve so please don't trust the video
