In September, the first STRAILway polymer sleepers were installed in the Czech Republic. This was in form of a turnout in Loucna nad Desnou. The turnout was converted from wooden sleepers to polymer sleepers. The exchange went smoothly and the construction company was impressed by how pleasant the polymer sleepers were to work with.

Im Herbst 2020 wurde eine Weiche mit den STRAILway Kunststoffschwellen ausgestattet. Der Einbau verlief schnell und reibungslos! Ich hätte bei den zu erwartenden Erschütterungen durch den Bahnkörper zumindest Längsverbinder in der Elementen erwartet gegen seitliches Verschieben. Ähnlich Nut Feder System.

Es währe schon viel für die Umwelt getan wenn die Bahn den großflächigen Einsatz von Round-Up und anderen Wachstumshämmern auf dem bundesweiten Schienennetz unterlassen würde.
Was hat das mit diesem Produkt zu tun?
Soll das Schotterbett also zum Stauraum für Wasser werden?
are they good in high temperatures?
Yes, our STRAILway polymer sleepers also work at high temperatures. We have carried out extensive tests with temperatures of up to 80°C. The measured static and dynamic values are excellent. Even the sleepers in use still look great after a long period of use.

I don't know why I was shown this, but it's neat! Didn't know you could made the wooden bits out of polymer, so that's cool!
NO idea why this came up as a suggestion, but it got my interest, so I guess RUclips algorithm knows me better than I know myself :) I would wonder how the cost compares to wooden ties. I'd imagine these are more expensive, but offer better working parameters, therefore are best used on critical junctions, such as switches, etc?
