Those dry stone walls are pretty impressive. And it’s interesting to note that the school population is going down here too at least in my part of southern Ontario.
scaoil amach an coffineen ...lol
The Vikings farmed people . slavery . bronze age was preceded by the copper age ..earliest copper found on the "nrutish" isles was from 3 copper mines in kerry. the germanic fake archaeology taught years ago promoted the notion that metallurgy came to our shores from germany. it must be noted that eire was trading lapiz lazuli with morocco for the jewellry of the great learning houses.
That was a heartwarming video! My grandpa was from Ireland. I love to see the people and scenery.
Go hiontach! Is fear suimúil agus cliste é! Ba bhreá liom sibh níos mó agalaimh leis a dhéanamh

Thanks for giving interesting people a chance to tell their stories! We love them, and have subscribed to your channel for that reason.
Well done 👏
👏👏 un petit bonjour de la France.😀
That's the truth about the generations. we can count generations to events from the past then they don't seem so distant in time . Dates in a history book look far away but count them in generations you'll see that in a different way. Many Irish emigrants like me would love to return to Ireland and live a normal self sufficient working farming life with family friends neighbours and community. It could be done and should be done
👍
Absolutely brilliant and truthful miss these days. 🙏
Patrick mhaither.?
I can't understand a single word. I love it. :D
Fanfreakintastic!!
My G Grandfather was a Walsh and came from that island as well. Have been on it myself a few times.

My mother was Baby Hughie Sheain Bhreathnaigh from Doire Iorrais. I spent a lot of time there in the late 60s and early 70s before we moved from London to America. My dad was Micheal Sheain Steaife from an Árd Mhór. Both places meet in this piece. Thanks for sharing it.
That's so interesting, thank you so much for sharing that. Sounds like a real adventure, from Connemara, to London to America!
@@connemara6674 When we arrived in Chicago, it was packed with muintir Chonamara and lots of Irish speakers from Dingle, Tourmakeady, etc. Not like that any more as there is much more opportunity in Ireland today. I was probably 13 years old before I found out that some Irish people couldn't speak Irish (everyone we met did, so I assumed that was the case.).
@@geraldjoyce7400 that's amazing!! I wish everyone did speak Irish, wouldn't that be cool!..thanks for sharing.
Léargas agus plé suimiúil.

Jimmy it was nice to hear of your early life in beautiful Galway ... and my Great Uncle too! I’ll treasure it always as a part of my roots ! You’re the best! 💕
Go hálainn ar fad a Tommie guth deas
What a lovely clip of a true connemara man's memories of a time slowly disapairing on our beautiful island. In this strow away society we find our selfs liveing .Its's nice to see stories off the old ways of how the forgotten people lived in Ireland. Thank you Jimmy and i look forward to more stories.
They must have been in incredible shape.
They still are!
It is lovely to see that the age of innocence (for the want of a better term - and apart from drinking Guinness) is not yet gone. I'm left with the assumption that the time of his childhood and boyhood was during the 60's and 70's. He and she seem so contented with life and each other, something you don't see much of these days. I wish them both health and happiness.
Thank you very much its true what yousay,Maureen Faherty
we have some beautiful islands off our Irish coastline Watching from Australian with Donegal eyes and hart
