Ebertfest 2016 - Everybody Wants Some!! Q&A
Awesome story
I just ordered the interviewer's, Matt Zoller Seitz', book - The Oliver Stone Experience.
I ove Jen, but Jesus, is she losing her hearing? She shouted thru the entire thing. Gina was super sweet and patient. Bound is still one of my favorite movies. I have an original poster I got from the theater at the time.
The interview looks like Mickey Knox 😂
Odd - was Joe Pantoliano even invited? I thought he stole the movie.
Thank you for sharing this Q&A session with Kishi Bashi. What a treat to hear him play! I had the privilege of seeing the Omoiyari song film and concert in SF. I am looking forward to Kishi Bashi's new album this Fall!!!
Great job Christine. . Excellent Movie!!!!
Certainly hope it's not the last year😢
Been in late love with Jen since _The Crew_ 2000
Son iconos cómo Thema y Luisa ,padan a la historia excelentes actrices ,felicidades ❤❤❤❤😊😅😂🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍💯
Yes
Oh my, they're both still absolutely stunning
Jennifer tilly sound obnoxius, does not let the rest of the guests speak, talks too loud and nonsense.
She's funny as hell, what are you talkin about?
Interesting guy.
I have a question here. I am a filmmaking teacher. I teach MFA students cinematography and film history both. There is an aversion to film history usually. Especially the silent period, non-talkies. Sometimes black and white too. But the real reason is that most students feel that the styles and observations that came from old films (any film made in the last millennium) are somehow represented or assimilated in new films or series in the more contemporary context. Although I am not sure that one can equate contemporary filmmakers with something called contemporary context. But that's what students feel. It has gone to such an extent that the best film schools in India had to stop film history beyond the basic 5-6 sessions in the first semester in a three or four year long program.
We need to find that scene where Jennifer Tilly has a loud organism.
Bound 2 🥺
The fact that he won the “golden thumb” with this movie is so fitting.
This video just made my day. I love Bound. Saw it when it came out.Everything is so perfect about it - freat story, great dialogue, acting, make up, sound, editing, haircuts, costumes, camera work... Any aspect is top notch. The dvd commentary is awesome. Great to hear these two wonderful, beautiful and charming actresses talk about the filming process again.
28:00 so glad to hear mention of Bilal Muhammed as so many Muslims are overlooked
32:15 ? Pauline Marshall Song for a widow From a perfect mind
23:00 younger generations wanted to be part of the industrial revolution. Eula worked with Yellow Mary as a prostitute. She was returning to Nova Scotia
Of course the idiot who doesn't watch classics picked two films from the 70s. Uneducated "filmmakers" think cinema started that decade.
🙏 *Promo SM*
Bound is a masterpiece. Joey Pants deserved an Oscar as did the directors. Gina mentioned boxing...she boxed Bob Dylan and knocked him on his ass...
It was an incredible thrill to be in the audience for this Q&A.
This is a truly illuminating Q&A. Thank you for recording and posting it.
Thora and Scarlett taking Terry to a restaurant, into a private room with belly dancers AND THEN someone gave him and LSD drink is hilarious
The interviewer is kind of awkward
I disagree. Love the interview and all the stories behind shots. I enjoyed the banter. It's so great to see both actors love the film and their role so much.
I saw "Bound" when it came out at the movie theatre amost by chance cause it gor really very few publicity. It took my breath away. Sooooo perfect. It was like an Hitchcock movie. It's kind of disappointing that they do not focus very much on this aspect on this programme. THIS made the movie great. The lesbianic factor was not on the fore front. The suspense was the core of the movie, luckily. Which is my problem these days with most of the LGBT movies were the main thing is always the homosexuality which bores me to death.
I was at a party and I was talking about Joe vs. the Volcano to some friends of mine and this cute girl turned me around and said: "I love that movie". 18 months we were married and will be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary
This is great! ❤
I’m astounded by how little sense this film makes… the way the director is discussing the ending so casually as if it isn’t absolutely ridiculous…
I appreciate the addition insight found here, covering a movie that I appreciate so much. I will be searching for the remastered digital copy-if anyone has advice on how to find it??? I see a person above mentioned Blu-ray...I’ll start there. Thanks again!
❤
if they were dating, Jen would definitely be the more irrational one, just chaotic in a good way lol and just all over the place, and Gina is the more rational of the two, trying to keep Jen under control. They're so cute and make a great duo!!
A great lesbain couple.
I loved it. Meditation at the end was actually a really good one.
I can't hear shit
well.. cool.. I was today years old when I learned there is an "Ebertfest"
Love this! Golden Arm is the best ladies arm wrestling movie of all time! Take that Stallone!
Love it!! Thank you so much 😍
Love these two working together. Great film.
Roger Evert was a gem
Is "she" keeping the money? Lol
The best film of its decade? Wow, high praise from Roger! Whenever I see a great movie, or movie which puzzles me, I cannot but help to think: what would Roger have thought about it?
1:12:29 What are they talking about. A good Blu Ray restoration if handled properly can last long time. Not everyone can have 35mm available.
46:40 he was a producer on it. Also more forgin films, like David said!
38:14 Not everyone has an access to a theatre. But more people can have a big screen TV at home turn the lights off and watch a film uninterrupted.
33:35 Put your damm phone away.
25:20 that terrible. You can see the face to the guy next to him
2:30 the idiot
