Hello @nagendra3594 If you have an on-premise S/4HANA system and you want to send data to a cloud service (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP Integration Suite, etc..), the SAP Cloud Connector ensures secure communication and acts as a bridge between the systems. It enables cloud applications to access data, APIs, and services hosted in your on-premise environment without exposing your internal network to the internet directly. Hello @chsnasc , What is the underlying database of your ECC? In any case, that should work. You can use SDI to load data into the underlying Hana Cloud of your SAP Datasphere. We are using RMS with SLT to send data from ECC 6 system to GCS (csv files) and we encounter features limitations such as : - We can't stop a single task from a RMS flow, when we undeploy a RMS flow and we do some changes on single task, the redeployment will start initial load & delta for all tasks (tips duplicate RMS flows ...) - RMS neglects the LTRS setting and does not offer the possibility of putting larger files (small files 1Mo generated on GCS side) - You cannot make joins (filter) between tables in replications. for example: send only the invoices line items which are in the headers table (table already filtered), so we are obliged to send the entire table, which takes a long time in initial load. - Sometimes, we can have an error on single task, so we modify the source system and we unsuspend the task, but RMS does not take our modifications into account, we should restart the entire RMS flow. Currently, we don't have datasphere in our SAP landscape, but it is part of our roadmap to gradually move the BW objects to datasphere in order to source our SAC Tenant. Merci et Bonne soirée.

Hello, maybe this is a translation issue, but I feel a bit of aggressivity in your question and the urgency that you putting into it ("I would wait... vital. Waiting to hear..."). Just for you to know, I do these videos when I have a customer use case that I adressed in my day job, and I hate to see it going to waste. I always assume that if a customer had these questions, there might be others who have the same, or consultants that want to learn about these subjects. As for the questions, I try to answer them, to the best that I can, in a timely manner, when I have the time as this is not my main job, this is an extra. I do not monetize these videos, so I get nothing out of them, except more work. Now that this is set, I'll answer your vital question and hope that you didn't have to wait to much for it... SAP Datasphere allows to have multiple Data Provisioning Agents (DP Agent) defined for different data source connections. The DP Agent acts as a link between your on-premise data sources or third-party cloud databases and SAP Datasphere. In system/configuration, you can define your On Premise Agents and when creating you connection, you can select the corresponding DP Agent. Best of luck

Hello Christian, The DP Agent is needed for remote table access. In this demonstration, I am replicating data from an ECC system with replication flows, I am therefore using the SAP Cloud connector (enabling Data Flows and Replication flows). Just for your knowledge, DPA is linked to the SDI, and Data flows and Replications Flows actually come from the Data Intelligence technology embedded within SAP Datasphere, thus only requiring the SAP Cloud Connector. So depending if you need to replicate or to a virtual access it is not the same. Of course, you could have both if you wanted, this is what I expain at 5:16 . Best regards, R.

Replications flows in SAP Datasphere allow to replicate the following : - CDS views (in ABAP-based SAP systems) that are enabled for extraction. - Tables that have a unique key (primary key) - Objects from ODP providers, such as extractors or SAP BW artifacts. If you are asking if you can replicate data from a BW data source, as of today, October 2023, Replication Flows in SAP Datasphere allow to replicate data from SAP S/4HANA Cloud and On Premise systems, SAP Business Suite sources, SAP HANA Cloud and On-Premise, SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA and also MS Azure SQL. Yes, Since we are using SAP ECC (Non-Hana) on premises system along with BW, we are just exploring options is there any possibility to extract data from SAP BW standard data source like 2LIS_11_* using ODP framework from SAP ECC to Datasphere by ignoring SAP BW system completely. So, are these ECC standard extractors/data sources covered as part of this "- Objects from ODP providers, such as extractors or SAP BW artifacts" to bring into Datasphere from SAP ECC ( Non-hana). in this video you have shown us how to replicate data from SAP ECC table in very detailed manner. In the same way I would like to know what are the objects are going to cover as part of ODP_BW - ODP Context BW and ODP_SAPI - ODP Context SAPI. Thanks you so much for your time and efforts to share valuable knowledge for us 🙏

No I haven't tried using the OAuth Authentication, it is either with Basic Authentication or Logon ticket. This is to connect to your SAP BTP Integration Suite. I would advice you to go to the help on this transaction SM59 to understand the difference for logon ticket implementation. Since this is for your integration flow, a technical user should be enough to get the data from S/4HANA to you BTP Integration suite.

Hello Ranjeet, Thank you for your comment. :) For your first question : - I'm loading the S3 bucket into SAP HANA DB, but of course, I could have done my whole process without the use of HANA and left the data in my bucket and load it somewhere else in a datalake, or not a in-memory DB and run the Python code on it, the model creation process would simply have been slower. - If you still want to use HANA like me, as you know, HANA is column store, you will have a compression of your data, meaning 5-7 compression ratio. But if you still don't have enough memory space, you can also keep the data in the bucket or another data lake and use HANA's SDA (Smart Data Access), it will create a virtual version of the data and get the data as needed from the remote source. - You can also sample your data and only keep a subset of your data (in terms of lines), perform data quality analysis and find out flaws in your data and only keep the relevant one. It's only recently that we started using all the data for creating our data science models. Finally, you could also perform feature engineering (and keep only a certain number of columns and leave out the ones that are not correlated) on the largest subset possible for your memory limit and then load the data accordingly. For your second question: - The source can be a kafka topic, SAP Data Intelligence has a Kafka consumer component for data orchestration. You simply define your system in the connections and then you can use it in your flows. For the third question : - In the ML scenario Manager of SAP Data Intelligence you define several datasests, notebooks, pipelines, executions and deployments. This is where you will handle the versioning of your all these elements. Good things is that with SAP Data intelligence the whole process will be greatly industrialized and you wont have to perform extracts of your data for model creations, once the piplelines are done you can use them to create updated versions model, switch back to another version that had better results, and deploy them quickly. :) Best of luck!
