I’m so used to hearing about cognitive empathy in relation to “dark empaths” or “covert narcissism” as means to demonize people who just interpret emotional input differently. As if there is only one way correct way to empathize. So thank you so much for describing it with so much care, consideration, and legitimacy. ✨Subscribed ✨

Is it possible to be all three? I have been all of these people at different times in my life. I'd probably still be doing it if it didn't literally kill me at thirty three years old. I had a rare and deadly coronary dissection that led me to flatline and have a near death experience. I chose to go back but life as I knew it was over. the world I went back to was unfamiliar and hostile. After i was left penniless and disabled I started to research my now ex husband's diagnosis. Antisocial Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder illuminated years of hidden abuse and confusion. That was twenty years ago, and my life is still impacted daily by the hidden abuse and resulting complex trauma symptoms.

@@EveningTV thank you for sharing your experience. Culturally we do not talk about complex trauma enough, which makes it easy for many to assume they are alone in their experience. Thank you for your willingness to share and be vulnerable. Healing does take time. And while it sounds like you’re on your healing journey, I think to remind you that when we have been the victim of another’s actions, is easy to judge ourselves. But his treatment of you is about him. Keep healing. Keep moving forward. And keep blessing others through your example of endurance and vulnerability. Sending you love and light as you continue to heal mentally, emotionally, and physically. If you would like to talk more, feel free to reach out.❤️
