Perfect cure for any drum-circle urges (and we need a cure!). So, you know, thank you, Rolfe Kent. Awesome clip from Up In The Air.

From The Zen Effect (www.ZenEffectMusic.com) A six minute meditation designed by composer, psychologist and meditator Rolfe Kent to help you clear your mind and calm your nerves. Six minutes a day can change everything.
Too. Many. Cuts.
I am married now with kids, I did this in my 20s. I miss it but I also don't miss it as it has it's ups and downs but mostly ups. I had a roommate at my "home" and I probably see him maybe a total of 4 months of the year. I usually saw him 1 out of 4 weekends. I was probably the best roommate for him, I was never around yet I paid rent (cheaper to live with other people) and since I was never around the apartment was usually clean. I am not a messy person but my roommate was somewhat of a neat freak so it worked out. I had an excellent status with United Airlines and Marriot. I used my United miles to pay for my honeymoon and other trips with my family, same goes for the hotels. For those who are just getting into the working world. I would suggest trying this, it's like studying abroad, you regret NOT doing it. Yes you see most cities mostly from an airport or hotel but you can still have a half to full day to get out and see the city/area you are in.
Noob don't even got tsa precheck
Since they ask to remove all electronics, I put all of them in a separate zip pouch including laptop charger and phone. So all I have to remove from the bag is the laptop and this pouch. Jacket and belts already removed, wallets already in the bag. Slip on shoes are a must. With this, you’re done in a couple of minutes.
This movie taught me how to get through airports.
He should have signed up for TSA Pre and not remove his shoes and laptop from backpack. Another few valuable seconds saved.
Just the smooth motions and how he knows after hundreds (thousands?) Of flights exactly what to do to get through everything quick and easy. Just love this sequence down to the excellent camera work.
Academy Award for Best Film Editing - should be given to this clip for 5 years straight
The reality of air travel is it doesn’t matter what your status level is. If you’re flying commercial you are just as susceptible to the the inconveniences of everyone else there . Your AA platinum pro won’t help you.
Reminder of how people can get TSA as they proceed Check-in/ in Security
Pretentious movie
At least you don't have to carry your boarding pass through security anymore.
He'd totally have precheck if it was available
I like how this is shot and edited like it's an action scene
fold zip pat zip click neat turn roll unstack load unbuckle walk tidy stack zip close what a satisfying scene
You telling me my man Bingham does't even have TSA Precheck? Or Clear? Lol
While this movie was made in 2009, if we ever saw a sequel you know damn well production will certainly add that detail 😂
Dumb
I did this for 20 Years. You live in 5 star hotels and everything is free. This is what you long for, a Sunday Roast dinner with family, sitting in a pub with a bunch of old friends and after a couple of years in a hot country walking in the UK parks in autumn.
you dont rent a flash car and visit for the memorial/fourth/labor trio? possibly bring in a girl that looks good sunning? oh, uk. yeah, that place sucks.
My family is toxic tho
Thank you for writing this.
Did it for 2 years, my last "trip" was 3 weeks long, I got home and hugged my bed, made the call and quit as my business was making enough money by then. Clocks always ticking in that life
I have north of half a milion air miles available to me. The last thing I want to see on vacation is the inside of an airplane.
The worst part about flying is when they stopped boarding from the rear rows of the plane to the front rows and went to the "priority system"...now it takes 10x as long to get everyone situated.
Airport sushi is low quality. Not cheap. Respect the difference 😜
You don't pay for sushi in the lounge.
Does he have rubber bands on his socks?
I too was this guy at one time but before 911. No cell phone, my pager was bigger then a cell phone today. I too loved when you got to the hotel and they said Welcome back Mr Smith and even more I loved the concierge level in the hotel.. People in elevator would be in awe. I dont miss working but man I did so love the travel. Just happy I got to experience it for a while.
The editing of his packing, unpacking for the TSA, and repacking are so satisfying.
I have those socks, I must be a baller.
Quero dublado
Is this pre -TSA? Who takes off their shoes anymore with TSA pre check?
Waaaay too familiar.
If you have to faff at an airport, you have failed at flying. Prepare your stuff to move quickly!
I have this pretty much down to a science too. Except I'm traveling the country and world for fun- me and my cat in the profile picture. Pre COVID anyway. Good times. Low stress, enjoyable life 🙂🙂🙂🐈🐈😺😺😺😺
i have beef with george clooney
Now, boarding passes are on your phone
Traveling in Asia is a pain when families bring half a years shopping with them.
Why doesn’t his character have TSA Precheck?? Also pre-printed boarding passes. People who actually travel a ton arrive at the airport 20 minutes before takeoff and walk directly to the gate making no stops elsewhere
Because this movie was in 2009, mobile boarding passes and TSA pre-check were not around :)
@@danieledwards6032 actually they both were but only very new (and instead of TSA Precheck I should have said Global Entry). I could understand if they were too new for him to have but it could’ve been a nice touch for the filmmakers to add to his character if they’re trying to present him as a heavy traveler. It also would’ve been more impressive if they were so new.
@@Meave1018 They wanted to show travelling as viewers expected travelling to look like in 2009.
Buddy, look up when the movie was filmed.
It's a complete copy. 👍👍
He keeps everything he needs to takeout during TSA at the top on his bag, he wears slip on shoes, a slide belt, laptop kept in a separate pouch not buried in his bag. This man travels.
I was always incredibly impressed with the laptop compartment he had.
Surprised he didn't have TSA Precheck. Then I realized the movie came out in 2009 and that system wasn't introduced till 2013.
@@sson386 also the hotel has a light switch and the light doesn't just go out when you remove your room card.
It's not hard. I never travel with more than a backpack. I'm NOT paying 40, 50, 60 dollars to carry my own stuff. Ridiculous.
Only works for VIP passengers. In economy no matter how smooth you are you'll be wasting time behind someone who would spend 5mins to dig out their laptop or whatever the f that's in there 😢
I always wanted tohave a job like this one, now I have and I hate it... human natura :/
TSA precheck
GLOBAL ENTRY
Exactly how I travel.
The sounds are so ASMRish
This is painful to watch now we are in COVID times
Howuch you wanna make a bet that they Security Guard at 1:09 to 1:12 is a Former Marine!
He wasn't a marine, bu that's my dad! I remember getting back from school one day and he told me all about it. The director was looking for an intimidating looking person to do the check for that scene, so they looked around, found him and asked if he'd wanna do it. He got to meet Clooney, got some instructions for what to do and the rest is history! I think he still has the signed copy of the DVD that was sent to him after the filming was complete. It's one of his favorite memories from working at TSA.
The only time this guy doesn't come off like an Asshole in the movie.
It’s amazing how outdated this movie is and it’s only 10 years old
Flew all over the country and the world for 25 years, have not boarded a plane in 5 years and have not missed it. Also, the American Airlines scene about 10 million miler status is not true.
One day, the pandemic will be over, and being able to travel this smoothly will be possible yet again
I been flying a little the last 4 months. Nothing crazy as long as you just bring your wet wipes, sanitizer, extra paper masks if needed, tissues, a charger and just essentials
@@jorgenvonstrangle000 if you fly internationally, you really need to know the Covid entry requirements of the arrival nation
This character is me in every sense: -I love to travel -very efficient -lacks patience -keep possessions and relationships to a minimum cuz they wear me down. I love being FREE -arrogant/narcissistic but deep down that’s a cover for my insecurities -afraid of not being in control, cuz the minute I let my guard down and give someone a chance they disappoint me I love this movie, I can relate
Love this post.
Agreed
At least you admit you are a conceited narcissist.
i want to be like him, YOu're fired and I'll never see you again
I am trying to think of similar scenes from other movies where you just see neat, organized and satisfying stuff haha
The opening scenes of Stranger Than Fiction come to mind.
Mindhunter montage!
The Matrix when Agent Smith is sifting through Neo's paperwork.
I watch this clip when I am traveling and before I go to security check. I follow the steps in and out like that every time.
