I'm from the Charleston area and love watching tours even in my own city because I learn alot. This was nice and touched on things other tours haven't. One thing I must correct is the lowcountry is not predominantly sand, that would be the sandhills region or what I call the "gateway to the lowcountry" the geography of the lowcountry is the level of the sea, its comprised of low lying grassy wetlands dominated by swamps, creeks, tidal marshes and semi-tropical sea islands with lush maritime forests containing live oaks, wild palms and other subtropical vegetation as well as some tropical vegetation as well as lagoons. It's real neat especially all the uninhabited islands makes you feel like your in a jungle in Asia or South America. Many Hollywood movies have used these islands for Vietnam war scenes, one of them being Forrest Gump.

The Odens were purportedly commissioned to carve the portals for the stave church at Epcot. What wasn’t communicated was the replica there was to be reduced size. So they carved full size portals which would be put to good use, albeit unintended, for the full size Minot church.

You should add Theodor (Dr Seuss) Gisele built a home on Encelia Drive in LaJolla in 1948 and lived in it until his death in 1991, then point out the "up-side down Gisele Library built on the UCSD campus in LaJolla by the Gisele's. The Lorax used to on display but a few years ago some criminals tried too steal it.Actor Cliff Robertson used to live on Dunemere in LaJolla, right next to the house Mitt and Ann Romney have there on the beach. Actress Raquel Welsh graduated from LaJolla High in 1958. And Alicia Keys bought the Razor Home above Black's Beach.
