Actually finding a good candidate restoration at a sane price is proving to be very challenging, I too am looking for a 3rd generation charger. You got a straight body, solid frame, with engine/tranny for just $2500. You did in fact get a fantastic deal.

Thanks for the video. My brand new 1973 Charger SE Brougham was a luxury coupe.... on a teacher's budget. ;) Don't know about opera windows on a muscle car with opera windows. I still love chrome. Have fun.

I learned to have the front end higher. If you bottom out. You mess up the front end alignment.... I had a 71 charger with a 400 ci.

I have been working on my 73 for years. Everything except the break pedal has been off. Kind of stuck on the wiring. I have new distributor but not sure what to delete. Good job on the car.

Adjusting the front height adjust your torsion bars
400 block is a low deck. 440 is rb which means raised block which means higher deck height
I rattle can spray paint many parts on mine . They look great and nobody would be able to tell. No shame here. Nice car!
I'm impressed that you fit everything that you have done on that yak. It's actually something I have been considering but the 10 version. I only need a yak for a couple areas and it would give me my 3rd option. I have a G3 Sportsman 1710 PFX, a modified 1436 Jon boat that looks like a mini bass cat fisher . I just need a motorless shallow mobile platform that I can walk to the water, but still want my fish finder. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful car! I have a 74 charger that I've had for 2 years. 727 trans with a 360. Thinking about a 440 as well or rebuild the engine as a stroker. I'm in fire school right now so it's been on the back burner lol. But can't wait to seriously work on it again. Great video and thanks for the advice and tips!

Thanks for the comments , you may have to expand your search to other states and pull it back. That is what I did, and just because you see rust inspect it. Like this car it was only surface rust so I easily removed that. You could find a gold mine with a little extra work that others have overlooked.
Im from Canada few hundred miles north of yah. I use to buy my 71-74 Chargers here in the mid 80s for $200-500. 5 in total...with no floors and rusted 1/4s. Snow and Salted roads ate these in a matter of 10 yrs. I budget built them and flipped them for around $1500. Usually 318 cars but put 440s in a couple from 78 Police interceptors. Great job on budget builds. I think I will find me another

So I wanted to get that Dakota but that price and time to get it was a issue for me. I am running a lithium (12v 50AH) that is a must, I do have it under my seat lying down flat. It does not have water in it so lying down seems to work pretty nice. I also have the black box for the live scope under the seat also. I have them lying back to back, I would also find a way to strap them down. You never know what can happen. I also strongly recommend that you get a insurance policy. I have everything on my boat insured but rods. If my boat takes a dive then I will go pick up a check for a upgrade! Its worth the extra money, piece of mind. Enjoy the motorguide and be careful with the spot lock. I love it but some time it will surprise you with a big swing, that is the only think I hate with it.

I dumped 64 ss rag i had since 1971.. nothing special.. got a 67 Grand prix convertible instead much much rarer.. some sucker paid 50k for the 64.. idiot.. i got that car for 150 dollars and some hydros..
Maybe he wanted that car for other reasons. For me if I knew by the vin that it was a card I wanted then price would not be a issue. You were blessed to get the come up!

The trolling motor is a new deal for me. I only used it twice. One of my clubs will not allow you to use it. So I do not have a ton of hours in it yet!
I just got a used 2021 Slayer Max. Can’t wait to use it. Unfortunately have to wait until after winter but excited to rig this thing up. Awesome boat there! I’m about your weight. Do you find the kayak collects a lot of water at the feet? Just wondering. Was thinking of getting some self draining scupper plugs.
Yes it does. It’s a wet boat. If you can find those plugs I would buy them.
