Mr. Miley, I think you have a great point....I would like to add that our Government is now in my opinion out of control for our own Property Rights...they have their hands too deep in our properties...including some tenants...and tenant laws across the state....and just asking property owners for too much now especially in Alamada County...Might I add we pay property taxes, we do our best to maintain, pay insurance, pay contractors to fix it, pay mortgage, pay interest, pay more property taxes when local governments wants to do more things or assessments....while we are loosing our basic property rights.

As a homeowner in Dublin, I was in the verge of putting my single family house in the rental market until I did I deep dive into this moratorium. There is NO WAY that I will ever rent my property in Alameda County. Even if this is overturned by the court, the posture of the Board of Supervisors re landlords is clear, and they will chomp on the bit to reenact another moratorium on whatever flimsy pretext.

Small landlords are suffering and government is ruining their credit because they can't make mortgage and they will end up losing their property.

Eviction moratorium is more than 2 years. What you are doing is not helping the tenants. More and more landlords put their properties out of rental market now. Appreciate your viewpoint Mr Miley. Its unreal what has happened. Peoples properties have been hijacked and they have had to continue to pay the mortgage, maintenance and property taxes while the tenants can just abandon paying rent altogether. They can remain in place even after their lease expires so you dont even need a lease now.. You can just camp out indefinitely in someones home without paying! This is unconstitutional in every sense of the word. .. and at this point the shame is on the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the people who are unwilling to see the perspective of the small landlords. This has gone way beyond an action that was taken under emergency situations. This has turned foul..

Thank you Supervisor Miley. Thousands of small landlords are unable to interact with our tenants to collect rent, or even move into our own homes because of this moratorium. Please revise the moratorium to exempt small landlords and allow us to move back into our homes. We are not bad people. 2.5 years is too long. We need a light at the end of the tunnel. Many landlords are leaving the business and this is making the housing crisis worse.

No, Supervisor Miley, you're misguided in your interpretation of what is the reasoning between I-880 and I-580 and allowing 18 wheelers onto I-580. What you are representing is the will of the trucking industry, plain and simple. It is a fact that it would cut travel time (saving them precious resources and profits) by an average of 15-30 minutes because of the congestion of I-880. This issue, as you well know, should NOT be a discussion with the City of Oakland, but with the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. Seeing as you are a county supervisor, why are you not bringing it up to your board? And in front of everyone in your district who can tell you their feelings. Tell me when the board will bring it up, please.

What a sell out! ! Losing the Oakland Raiders centered around the dysfunctional relationship between the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda. Just one small example of this adversarial relationship is they've known for years that there was no intention to develop this property as a state of the art sports complex that could adequately serve three professional franchises. There is a real reason the Raiders for years were the only NFL franchise that played on a baseball field. Ask the Raiders players how painful that was. With a rapid transit system already in place, surrounded by freeways and a stone's throw away from the airport,this was /is a no brainer to develop the existing property into a state of the art sports complex palace. This was never their intention, the Warriors and Raiders knew it, with NO genuine attempts to negotiate their staying. Kaval is a snake oil salesman at best, now invading an operating port to build a stadium that shouldn't pass an environmental impact report ("Let's rig one ").Generations of families lives are negatively impacted by these non sports supporting actors, good luck crossing those railroad tracks leading to the "new ballpark "or riding those gondolas that keep getting stuck with people in them! !

While I'm happy about the A's stadium I'm not happy that the A's want to be Oaklands only sports team.Why not focus on the Howatd Terminal site but yet they want the Coliseun site as well and that means no other pro sports team can develop on the coliseun site.The city of Oakland is in a bad spot in regards to its sports teams and I honestly feel that this was the plan all along.The A's are a low income team and this is their way to be the only game in town without having to compete with another sports team.Oakland is not a baseball town.its a football town so they are going to do everything they can to make everyone forget that the Raiders was ever here.
