Visited Destin many times over the last 20 tears. AJ's is a good place to drink at happy hour and sunday afternoon they have a terrific R&B band, but other than apps I'd never eat there. Harbor Docks is good. Mimmo's is good Italian.

Locals do not eat at the Back Porch or AJs those are all over rated, poor food and that is where in the summer you are waiting on a table for up to 3hours. No, that is not local establishment locals go too. It’s a tourist trap!!!!! AJs is a drunk tank…. Why would you both send tourist to an unsafe over populated bar/restaurant that’s Fifthly? Lastly, the Senate Bean Soup is .13 for a cup with a purchase of an entree actually! If you do not purchase an entree they charge you the full amount for the soup! Dewey Destin on the Bay, off Calhoun Ave in Destin is the place you wanna go, not the actual restaurant on the harbor! Don’t get them confused when you go visit!

FUDPUCKERS will give you food poisoning as they are more concerned about their gators than food!!! I am a born and raised local of 40years and your selections are horrible! I hate how folks move down here and instantly become “experts” on the City of Destin!!!!!

Dang never been to Stewby's. Gotta hit that one up now. I'd like to add Big Red Truck diner to the list for a GREAT cheap lunch if you work nearby 😎

Pompano joes is amazing over in Miramar beach. I would give a 5 star if wasn’t so expensive but the food is definitely awesome

I'm from New Orleans and have been coming to the area every year since 1983. I feel like a local. We met a local on the beach a few years back who turned us onto the original Stewby's. We were tired of getting slammed by the tourist trap restaurants so we tried it. Thought we were going to have to sit on my tailgate to eat but lucked up on a booth. Very good food at very good price. We also used his recommendation for a place called The Shack on the harbor in Ft. Walton. Loved it! Thanks for your insight!

Boshamps is way overpriced and not good at all imo. I have had better fish from Ljs. It's pathetic actually.

How are y’all going to talk about the best places in Destin and where the locals eat, and not mention Harbor Docks? The best seafood and sushi in Destin, hands down, and a true locals spot! There’s a few others you mentioned that most locals will not agree with, but I’ve only lived here for 33 years, sooo…

Fudpuckers food is terrible. Everybody knows it. It’s grimy too. Local Picks no specific order 1. Bistrology 2. Louisiana Laignappe 3. Sushi Moto 4. Pompano Joe’s 5. Maguires 6. LuLu’s 7. The Donut Hole

First time visiting Destin, decided to eat at Backporch yesterday and it was truly disgusting. They served us raw oysters on a metal tray with no ice. Tray was room temperature and the oysters were warm to the touch. Yuck! Furthermore, the food was bland, drinks were watered down and too sweet. Tried Boshamps the next day and it was 100 times better. Can’t wait to try out other places from this list, hoping that they are just as good as Boshamps.

Spring Break ends the 2nd week of April in Panama City Beach and the party isnt like it use to be

Been going to Sushimoto for years and this may be the first video I’ve heard it mentioned in. Such a gem! However it moved away the Melting Pot a few years ago and is actually just a little bit down the street.
