    Revise the slave coming from Slav. That is a linguistic misconception. The word slave comes from the Greek sklabos which predates the Slavic people. Slav has a proto-Slavic etymology.

  • @MichaelWayne64
    @MichaelWayne64 3 дня назад

    Rough is now considered to be a CIA asset or operative. Too many things happened for him as an unemployed contractor to travel to Ukraine & Florida. Someone is funding his activities. Even though Florida is investigating the attempted assassination of President Trump the USSS, FBI & CIA will block that investigation every step of the way. Hard to investigate the criminals when the criminals were hired by the same people that investigate them. The left fears Donald Trump will purge their loyalists from all the alphabet agencies like the DOJ, FBI, DHS, NSA, CIA, etc. then true Justice will come for them…and they all KNOW IT.

    Almost everyone I knew up in Wisconsin thought the Civil War was fought over slavery. They were never taught anything correctly. Ending slavery was a happy byproduct, but slavery was already on the way out. Eli Whitney's invention of the cotton gin was the thing that truly numbered its days. The Civil War just sped up the process.

    • @FriendlyHistory
      @FriendlyHistory 4 дня назад

      That’s probably not true

    • @craigcallais2110
      @craigcallais2110 3 дня назад

      @FriendlyHistory Ahh, but it is. America already outlawed the import of slaves. Also, the vast amount of labor was not picking the cotton. It was removing the seeds from the cotton. The cotton gin eased that labor problem. Sure, the planting and harvest were labor intensive, but that wasn't a year-round job. Cotton doesn't decompose quickly, so they could have stockpiles to process year-round. That would also keep income coming with fewer lulls.

    Romulus wasnt the first emperor. His twin brother and him were the founders of the city in the context of a myth that also states they were children and grandchildren of deities and were saved as small babies and breastfed by a she-wolf BUT never were emperors. They were kings if that

    ⚠️ HEAVILY PARTISAN COMMENT⚠️ The most telling thing about the debate is how hard his supporters are willing to defend the "Pet eating Haitians" thing. They're spreading the same fake things amongst each other and have convinced themselves against actual evidence. This is how an insurrectionist is able to run for office 🤷‍♂️ Jan 6th was really bad, but they won't believe it for the same reason. Absolutely insane.

    • @FriendlyHistory
      @FriendlyHistory 9 дней назад

      That’s a fair perspective. What makes Trump an insurrectionist?

    • @henrywright6565

      @@FriendlyHistory I generally point to the gathering of fake electors. That was the real "Threat" behind everything going on. Would have caused a pretty wild constitutional crisis: A President certified with fake electors pardons himself for the crime of gathering those fake electors, and you have a Congress who doesn't have the political will to act due to his base. Throw in the immunity ruling and we see what SCOTUS would've done. It's a wild time to be alive lol
