    total BS. he is comparing cutting on the wood pile witha a skill saw to cutting with a chop saw. the cut hub is an amazing stand but his time savings are mostly coming from using the right tool for the job. a normal saw stand would save him a similar time. the cut hub is the rolls royce of saw stands but thats probably only 5% of his savings.

    I have been thinking about pulling the trigger on this but I have a couple questions. I like the idea of the 2x12 side tables, but it appears as if even one of these in place will prevent you from operating the cams on the bump stop. is this the case ? If so, I guess the bump stop would have to be on the opposite side of the side tables. I ask this because there have been pictures of set ups with side tables on both sides, so how does that work? Also, did I hear him say that the extra table in the pro package is not marked with measurements. Probably because that table is adjustable and therefore the measurements would not remain constant. The whole point of this system is specialized for fast and easy framing cuts. If you move your bump stop from your determined wall stud length to a jack stud and then back to the wall stud length, then you have to re set up that bump stop with your tape measure or a pre cut wall stud to re set the bump stop at the appropriate spot again. Kinda takes away from the speed of adjustable cutting lengths. My suggestion would be to have the extra table have a locking spot that would set the tables close together with the measurements continuing from the first table and have it be able to be set to cut 8 ft, 9 ft & 10 ft wall studs using the markings on the table as opposed to breaking out the tape measure. Guess you could buy a roll of metal sticky back tape and apply that.

    • @cuthub5506
      @cuthub5506 2 года назад

      Hey Mark, you are correct. The 2x12 side tables need to be on the opposite table to operate your sliding bump stop. The pictures you see with the side tables on both sides are usually being operated with out the bump stop. The extra table has an engraved ruler in it, it just isn't a continuous measurement from the table it's attached to. This is because that extra table can be adjusted to be further or closer away depending on the material you're working with.

    I love my cut-hub work station. Sure they're cheaper systems but the quality of the cut hub is top notch and it sets up fast. Because its metal and plastic it's impervious to harsh conditions which is important if your project extends over days or weeks. Repetitive cuts are core to the Cut Hub system. They also are customer focussed and provide any support you may need to get start.

    I like the idea of the cut hub but for this kind of money I would expect mechanisms that provide greater calibration and variability for setting a saw. For example instead of sliding posts and shims to determine the height at which the saw is mounted have screw posts and a dial knob that would allow for infinite adjustability and calibration. With some cuts it would be beneficial for the wings to be on the same plane as the table of the saw. Also may include a template for the saw mounting holes or better yet have the buyer specify what saw they have and then sell a mounting plate with the holes drilled by the manufacturer for that particular saw. If I'm paying this kind of money I want my saw aligned with the wings and not a degree off due to roughly measuring and drilling mounting holes. Thanks

    I got your system about a year ago and use it all the time. There’s just one thing I wish you guys offered is that one of them to come like 7 1/2 feet long so you can use the tablesaw at the end with the chopsaw in the middle so you don’t have to take it off to cut a full sheet.

    How much for smaller one used at 1:00 .. (the one that the 16 year old kid is using)?

  • @jakepryor
    @jakepryor 4 года назад

    My plate is smaller than the foot print of my table saw. I have a DeWalt 10 inch, but I believe it's an older model, as it has a huge molded plastic cage, that it sits in, which used to have feet mounted to the bottom of it, to mount onto the stand it came with. I was sent basically two plates, of the same size, one which mounted to my miter saw just fine, but the other one, for the table saw, is too small. I think I can get it to work, if I mount the table saw on a sheet of plywood first, and then place the mount under it.

    • @cuthub5506
      @cuthub5506 4 года назад

      Oh man sorry hat happened to you. The plates fit almost every table saw. If yours is too big we have had people do exactly what you said to modify it. Not as pretty but it works.

    • @HardKnockDesignandBuild
      @HardKnockDesignandBuild 4 года назад

      @@cuthub5506 I modified it and it worked out great. Now my concern, being a cabinet maker, is there anything that keeps the saw from sliding side to side, or should I just modify further, and screw some blocks to the under side?
