Happy New Year Tom. Looking forward to your adventures in 2025. I have a Sony A5000 which has been great for me since I started photography. It was reasonably priced, is very light and easy to use. Like you say, the jump in price to a full frame camera is not worth it for me. I think cameras are like golf clubs, you can still get great enjoyment and results from good quality items at reduced costs.

Hey Tom :) I would definitely be interested in a work shop if it would be to do with waterfall photography :) and some landscapes too, I'd like to get better at photography even its its the use of my phone camera, but at least its a start :) As you know I have been continually watching your conent every week since joining your channel and I have enjoyed every video that you have made :) hopefully I can learn some thing from you going forward :) looking forward to seeing some new content in this year going forward :)

Best wishes for the new year mate and I really do hope you have better luck with your gear etc, I didn’t think the insurance would pay out as they always try and getaway with not doing. Like you I don’t go in for New Years Resolutions etc, yes I really do need to watch what I eat better, not due to my weight, though I could do with losing a little, it’s because of my Diabetes and getting my readings much more consistent. I do want to try and get stuck in to my Channel, not really done much with it lately, besides sticking crappy Drone videos up, mostly shorts, but I want to do more photography based, whether that’s Street or Landscape but I do need some sort of Action Camera, I’d love a 360 but there’s simply no chance of that happening for some time. I’ve pondered on using my XT3 but it’s carrying it as I use a walking stick but I guess it’s an idea even just to start going in with, I just need to order one of those mirror things, you sent a link a couple of years ago but I dint bother then and they are only a £1 or 2 dearer now. Anyway, I do look forward to to the New Year, not only to watch yours and others new videos but to bite the bullet and get some out there myself. Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year Tom, you deserve a bit of luck. Hopefully, we’ll get to meet up at some point in the upcoming year, I plan on , or trying at least, to shoot more Landscapes etc from now on, plus the try and do more with my RUclips Channel too, I just need an Action Camera of sorts but that will come with time. For now, enjoy yourself as no doubt you have been working like mad this past few weeks.

The forest at 3:30 is just as gorgeous as it can be. Would have never had Northumberland on my radar but I certainly do now! Hopefully I'll be back to landscape shooting soon. 😁

Another belter Tom, was there earlier in the year when we were camping not too far away. Didn't get many photos as we were there with my Stepdaughter and fella and our dogs, I had planned to get back this year, but it has not happened yet, wouldn't mind bit it's not a million miles away. Didn't get anything at Janet's Foss either, it was the end of the Easter holidays so kids everywhere.

I’ve not been up there as yet, I’ve been down where you started of course as I usually park in the Roddlesworth Visitor Centre/Cafe Car Park, does look a bit of a trek though the height itself doesn’t seem too bad. Great video and images mate.

Glad you’re enjoying the drone and getting some good shots. Love taking photos with mine especially from the inaccessible places. One of my favourite shots from my Isle of Skye trip was of a waterfall captured using the drone.

Cracking drone work mate, after mine got killed off by a Seagull I’ve just got the Mini 3, a refurbished model from DJi, worked out around the same as a used mini 2 from elsewhere but you get a newer, better model with the same guarantees as you would buying new. I just need to sort the settings and as for night flying, it is seriously difficult to see compared to my mini 2, putting a light o immediately makes it too heavy but you can buy light up propellers for it, something I may have to seriously think about. As for my Whitby trip up yesterday, I didn’t get there, made it to 4 miles out and lost my Clutch, cars only a bloody year old.

Nice little video Tom, shame about the sun but more so about the people camping there. I’ve heard people have been camping then leaving their rubbish behind, that really winds me up as it’s plain lazy for one but also it will most likely end up in the sea. The danger being is that they end up fencing the Brickworks off to stop the camping, and dumping, which ruins it for us all. Really liked the shot you got, especially post edit, and I’m sure you will be back for sunrise very soon, now it’s getting later in the morning especially. Hope to meet up soon, keep up the great work.

There is a very good reason not many people have seen this. It's the NT Plas Newydd rock garden waterfall. The rock garden ceased being maintained before the Trust took it over which is why there are no recognised paths remaining. The ferns, bamboo and what look like hostas over his shoulder are not there by accident.
