Yes, OSC over USB works pretty well, you just need to see an example in manual www.midimux.com/downloads/StudiomuxManual.pdf Don't know about Windows compatibility, last few years using only mac and never jailbraked iOS devices

yeah I've seen and tried, and no go. seen some say ya need 4g (as it's using personal hotspot usb tether) can you use osc with the app (on your device) going 127.0.0.1 out 9000 and studiomux app port 8000 target port 900 and then your host (DAW?) osc configured also for localhost, with the ports reversed? that's it? one single port in mux? no usb modem ips referenced or anything? I've even tried enabling a MIDI destination in studiomux (in case it somehow travels via midi...) also tried creating a loopback adapter, still not seeing anything on wired droid/ios traffic. not very micro, very soft.

Status still 'unconfirmed' re if it was EVER possible ON WINDOWS* to send osc** just setup as (partially) described in the manual*** *(capitalised cause I can't italicise, not necessarily shouting:) **(without converting to midi, without even having to enable a virtualmidi destination in studiomux console server app...) ***(the final step, the final destination, to a DAW like reaper or logic, or pure data... isn't illustrated) The last fb message from studiomux seems to insinuate that the 'OSC over USB' for windows may still be a 'coming soon' feature, but never everever mentions whether (for example) a particular type-of-device (4g) or feature (usb tether, p.hotspot) is needed to get the (forwarded) osc network data OVER USB to windows++ ++when the 'client' 'host' OSC software all expects a config of type 'ipaddress + port', &&&there's talk of port-exclusivity... closest thing to clarification is on the site info for the awesome lemur osc app " OSC over cable Yes (with USB tethering on cellular device) " but even that doesn't say (A) how or (B) what's needed / prerequisites ... time, and tests, may tell. need a network engineer!

Jonny Hotchkiss just for myself I find that actually wi-fi connection is pretty robust if carefully prepared. I played live a few times and used my own router to keep wireless connection between Lemur on iPad and computer and all was ok. Many sound engineers rely on wireless network when working with mixers like Makie dl806, so I think there is no sense to search a way for resolving this mess, that Apple did to us with connection restriction and better use things that just works

There are actually no need for windowing function because there is no granular or sampling, here clicks just because of multiple modulations with square waves. Notice there are some places without clicks at all)

Looks very nice. I don't have an IOS or Android device, however, it seems there is an emulator for PC? Hopefully linux? Very exciting.... After nearly 1.5 years serious hacking w/Pd, I have developed a library of abstractions, which I use to build higher-level instruments. I am *slowly* retrofitting these to be controlled with OSC. It looks like MobMuPlat may be the portable OSC front-end I should be using.... :)
