You can have a cheap and easy pizza night with homemade pizza dough. And if you batch prep for a year, it's even easier. I'm sharing how I make enough sourdough pizza dough for a year today. Batch prepping makes the process easier because you only have to dirty up your kitchen once, and you finish with convenient scratch-made pizza dough for months to come. It takes about 30 minutes of hands-on time to make the dough. And that's it!

Back Patio Refresh and Backyard Garden Tour | Mirador Louvered Pergola & Garden Experiments
Thank you for the discussion of sourdough vs. yeast timing. This has been one of my 'sticking' points with sourdough, the time it takes to ferment. I'm always chomping at the bit to get to baking, which has made 1-2 day fermenting cycles very annoying.
Hey there! There is definitely a benefit to both. Right now, with a small child in tow, it's easier for me to have that long fermentation period. We are moving from one thing the the next so quickly that it's easiest to make the dough in the morning and handle the rest later. But before having a kid, I liked the convenience of making yeast breads. Either way, homemade bread is the best! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi!How can we keep in touch with you to have a collaboration?😊
Hey there! For collaboration inquiries, you can contact hey@moonandmagnolia.com.
About how long did you mix it on the kitchen aid?
It was about 10 minutes. Had it been a smaller batch, it probably would have taken a little less time.

Put the whole butternut squash with the skin on, ends cut off in the crockpot on high for 3 hours. Add a little water to the bottom of the crockpot. Cooks easily and perfectly, especially for soups, stews and baking.🍁

Did I miss it; where are the recipes that are in this video, love to have them.

Fall, my favorite season! I just wish we got more of it! I love your cutting board!
I wish we had more fall, too. We don't get much fall weather here. But I still love it! My cutting board is from here: tidd.ly/3zsCyWT. My husband's coworker/friend makes them. That's an affiliate link, but totally no pressure. Just fyi. :) Thanks so much for watching!
Goat cheese would be amazing too. I love fall too. I actually look forward to each season. You can find beauty and joy in anything if you choose so.
Oh, yes! Goat cheese would be good, too. Though winter is my favorite season, I try to appreciate all of the seasons for what they offer. Thanks for watching! ❤️
I was just telling my son I would like to try to make apple butter...so I think I'll give it a try. I wish my family would give that pizza a try...it looks delicious! We just had a storm come through and flooded my garden too. So we will be starting over but that's just how it goes. Thank you for another great video ❤
I just found you and I am so happy! I am having my first baby at 36 and want nothing more than to be a homemaker. I've been working full-time for what feels like my entire life, so it's so nice to find someone I can relate to on so many levels.
Yay, I'm so happy we can connect here!!! Congrats on the sweet baby. So exciting!!!
Oh my goodness you are speaking to my heart! I'm a first time mom at 41 and just left my 20 year career to stay home. Wow is this lonely. I'm trying to figure out how to build community as all my family and friends are on the opposite side of the country. I don't use social media other than viewing youtube and boy is it difficult meeting new people.
It's definitely a big shift transitioning from working to staying home. I also don't have family nearby, so I get how hard that is. Now that my little one is in preschool, it's been a little easier to meet other moms. But I definitely wasn't prepared for the social challenges of motherhood, especially at this age. I'm glad we can connect here! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️

Thanks for the reminder am a mom of 3 and can totally relate that it can be lonely sometimes. I stay off social media and protect my mental health
Staying off social media is a great way to protect your peace. I spend just enough time on IG to post recipes/tutorials. The less time I spend there, the better I feel. I don't have many tips for remedying loneliness in motherhood. But it does help to know that we are not alone in that feeling. Thank you so much for watching!
I am both a professional woman and a homemaker. I worked from home and raised my boys for 13 years before beginning my career. I love the identities that both give me. I make 90% of our meals at home, garden, raise goats, etc. But I also work 40+ hours a week outside the home. It is all about balance!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I really appreciate that you can appreciate the identities that working and homemaking offer. Thank you for watching!
Hey there! I recently discovered your channel and I have been enjoying watching your videos. This video really resonated with me. Society often overlooks the importance of motherhood and homemaking. I can totally relate to how isolating and lonely it can be. Making friends as an adult in middle age is challenging no matter what your profession, but especially if you stay at home. Good for you for starting a RUclips channel and putting yourself out there. Do you have a video on how to get started making sourdough? I would love to start trying to make it, but it seems complicated and overwhelming. I would love to see a beginners'guide to sourdough. Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to more videos! -Lisa
Hi! Thank you so much for watching. Making friends in my 40s is wild, especially because I'm starting to feel like everyone is much younger than me. Haha! Yes! I have sourdough resources that might be helpful. I'll leave some links below. But I'm also always here to answer your questions. On RUclips, I have these videos: How To Make a Starter: ruclips.net/video/hFhuvTHG_5o/видео.html Starter Q&A: ruclips.net/video/bxZ5_O4JPss/видео.html No-Knead Bread Tutorial: ruclips.net/video/TCMNOOxSsYQ/видео.html Over on my blog, I have a growing library of recipes and tutorials, but the classic sourdough boule is a good place to start: moonandmagnolia.com/2023/11/04/no-knead-sourdough-bread/ And I also have a free beginner's starter guide you can grab here: moonandmagnolia.ck.page/5732f62b3d If you have questions, let me know!

Putting the 4x4 on top of cinderblocks would've kept it many more years from rotting.

I use Bar Keeper’s Friend as well on my Le Creuset. I have found it is important to keep up with it to keep it stain free on the white inside. I have some really inexpensive ones where the bar Keeper’s Friend does not work as well or else the stain got away from me. I have a feeling that the inside surfaces are not as well made. I have been able to keep my 5 quart matt finish Le Creuset looking nice. However, I do not use it for bread. I use an inexpensive 3 quart stained inside and out rachel ray dutch oven for my no knead bread and do not worry about how it looks.
Staub sent me a replacement, but it ended up being the wrong Dutch oven. So I kept the original, and I eventually got the staining off with Bar Keeper's friend, baking soda, and a magic eraser---and A LOT of elbow grease. Since then, I've stopped using my Staub for baking bread and use my Lodge Dutch oven. Thanks so much for watching!
This was a well done example of making SD starter from scratch! Your little girl is precious🌸
Thank you so much! And thank you for watching! ❤️
I have saved money and have invested in my cookware, etc. I have a kitchen aid, but I do want a bigger one. I can not see myself going back to the store bought bread. The grain mill, I love the idea of it, but for a single person, I'm on the fence still, but I believe there is more quality in the grain I know it's simple. Flour sack towels are essential in my kitchen.
I've been slowing investing in my cookware, too. Over the years, I've found some really nice pieces of All-Clad and Staub at HomeGoods. But I wish I would have saved from the get-go and got the right mixer, cutting board, etc. It ended up costing me more in the long run. I lived alone for a long time before meeting my husband. It's really challenging cooking for one! I get it. The nice thing about a grain mill though is that you can mill as much or as little as you need. But I totally get being unsure when you are cooking/baking for one. Flour sack towels are the best! That's a good one to add to the list. Thanks so much for watching. ❤️
I’d really start saving for a Bosch or Ankarsrum, especially if you make your bread every single day. I’ve had my kitchen aid for 15 years ( I started with a larger one) when I started making bread 3/5x a week I had to switch it out.
I've heard that the Bosch mixers are really nice. I haven't used one though. You can make really big batches of dough in a Bosch, right? I just recently came across the Ankarsrum, but I don't know much about it yet. Thanks so much for watching!
@@moonandmagnolia yea you can make extremely large batches in the Bosch. It’s a really powerful machine in all honestly the biggest problem is it can over knead while you’re adjusting to it.
I definitely need to try one. We are a family of three, so I usually make our family bread once a week. But I'm often make big batches for the freezer and for my RUclips/blog. Thanks for the info. I might have to add one to my Christmas list!
I got a Bosch mixer as a wedding gift and it's been amazing! I do large batches, about 6 pounds of flour at a time. I don't think a kitchen aids could survive doing that often
I don't know how many pounds of flour I use, but I make a quadruple recipe of bread which gets me 11 pounds of dough in my Bosch. I love it! I also have the shredder/slicer attachment, and it does a 5 lb block of mozzarella or cheddar SO quickly!😊
Very informative thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
Can you link your cute rust colored romper?
Hi! Was it this one: amzn.to/3MDM7oP? I have another one that is more of a terra cotta color that I wear all of the time, but I'm not sure if I had it on during any of this video. I pretty much live in rompers and anything without a waistband. 🤣 Ps. That's an affiliate link, but totally no pressure! Thanks for watching!
@@moonandmagnolia thank you! Link the terracotta one too. So Fall! Thank you! I'll grab both!
I got the terra cotta one at a local boutique last year. I can't find the exact one online, but it is about identical to this one: amzn.to/3B2Lpz0.
@@moonandmagnolia thank you!!
Could you share the link for this recipe please? And what is it called the white box that you used ?
Sure! Here is the recipe: moonandmagnolia.com/2024/05/10/sourdough-burger-buns-recipe-soft-and-fluffy/. And the box is a Brod & Taylor proofing box. I use it all of the time. You can check it out here: collabs.shop/o08khw. That's an affiliate link (just a heads up, but no pressure). Thanks so much for watching!❤️
Wow! I will give it a try! Thanks for sharing
I just fed my starter so I can make these! They are so good. Thanks for watching!
Put a paper towel in the bottom of the container with your veggies. It helps to absorb any moisture and extends the life of your veg. For me, it's a game-changer.
That is such a good idea! I'll definitely do that next time. Thanks for watching!
i was just gifted some sourdough starter and this was the only video i have watched that has truly made it seem so simple and easy! thank you sooooo much! i was so nervous about it and your video made me feel so much better :)
This made my day! It really is a simple process, and I'm sure after a few feedings, you'll have it down pat. I'm so excited for your sourdough adventures! Thanks for watching!
Great ideas. When it's time, I'm going to make the egg cups for work. I have never had millet, I'm interested in how you incorporate it into your meals. Thank you again for a great video 😊
We devoured the egg cups! I use millet the same way I would use rice or cous cours. It makes great grain bowls or a side. In fact, tonight, I am using it as a side for pork tenderloin and a quick sauce. For breakfast, I use it the same way I would oatmeal. It's really yummy with a little maple syrup, cinnamon, and dried fruit. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for all the great tips ❤ Everything looks delicious!
First, love your channel’s name! Secondly, thanks for this simple instruction!

I think roasted chicken is underrated. It's the best dinner ever. I was raised by my grandmother for several years, and I loved coming home from school to a roasted chicken for dinner
