I suppose that as the resident TES lore fan, it’s my duty to yap about the Imga a bit, so here goes… Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Imga as a race, other than that they have a great respect for Altmer, to the point that some Imga shave their entire bodies to look more like elves. What we do know a fair bit about is the monkey-prophet Marukh, who’s probably the one person in the TES universe (other than Vivec?) who came close to understanding how the world actually works. He was an Imga who rose to prominence in the First, or Alessian, Empire some time after the death of Empress Alessia. He preached a monotheistic faith worshipping The One, which was either a corruption of Akatosh, or the result of Marukh having some glimpse of the Godhead. His Alessian Order became so powerful that they became the rulers of the Empire, and managed to shatter time itself, causing a one-thousand-year long Dragon Break (which is a period in which time moves non-linearly and many possible outcomes of an event can be true at once). For comparison, the only canonical Dragon Break that we experience in any actual TES game lasted, like, a week at most.

ok so, the Imga are funky as shit when it comes to lore for the Elder Scrolls sometimes they shave their fur and wear capes to appear more like elves, specifically the High Elves, who they greatly admire (bordering obsession) they haven’t had significant mentions since the 2nd Era, so like a few thousand years during the present times in Elder Scrolls (4th Era, year 201)

It is insane that her goal (not that it would have been remotely possible) was to be Monkey Pope, aka Marukh, a fairly obscure character from the deep lore. The Prophet Most Simian took over the Empire and turned it into a Theocracy. And given the name, it's assumed he was the inspiration for the Marukhati Selectives, the order or priests who danced so hard, they broke the God of Time and disrupted the flow of linear time for a thousand years. That's not even hyperbole.
