Radiator needs to be filled to the max otherwise it won't suck the coolant back from the reservoir.

Thanks for the video . I am getting P1447 and P0400 but there is no charcoal bits anywhere. However I notice there is no suction at the top hose of evap purge cut valve. The valve holds a good vacuum and is in good shape. Any ideas ?

Hi bro Are those engine mounts you are removing from the transmission? They both have to remove the Crossmember
Strickly crossmember mounts ..thats how i showed the full crossmember removed from vehicle...the engine and trans was still held up by the trans mount to frame on the drivers side as well as the passenger side motor mount by the water pump tensioner inspection cover to frame by the timing case

I’m working on this issue now. Fortunately, I haven’t had to take the console out (yet). A screw driver place in the area (from the top) releases the interlock assembly. Now I have to troubleshoot the electrical connector, solenoid and brake switch actuators.

valve cover gasket failure ruining the alternator is the exact thing that happened to me. you got it spot-on brother.
i missed out alot of other things but yep these 4th gens are gems that are aging n needs partial resto /refresh at times ..i moved on from my laat 4th gen but still browse for manauals and clean crimson blaze red 99s lol
yo bro i like your strut bar going across from tower to tower i bet well i know that your shit be handeling good around corners, another thing i have a 5th Gen 3.0SE they went from the alum. intake manifold to the damn plastic one but i must say i havent had any promblems wit it tho. you whip looks good bruh i bet your inside is nice leather as well. keep it up blood.

@dravenHaze-qb9hr get some throttle clnr n remove your idle air control valve n spray off all carbon ..let dry n try again....iacv's go bad more n more in 4th gens as the years go by so that is 1 major part to get 2nds n 3rds of like MAF, ign coils that are oem

An i got an oil leak not sure where its leak from just know its from the bottom vof the car think it might be RMS not sure tho an when i drive an it gets wormed up hot air comes in thru the feet vets an it always on full blast like you was saying forgot qhat ya said ir was but i need to replace thqt kinda got poor paformance most ths time it fakes q good while to speed up an il be pushing the petel qn it jist wqnt do much feel like it should have better gas mileage an its been kinda over heating or getting hot fast hard to get an accurate reading on tve dip stick it always gots alot of oil but it runs like its low need to replace the knock Senser ik forsure dont know if sum of the stuff going on could bz from that but i don't really know much about cars an aint really got ppl arot me that does but id appreciate any info you could give me
hot air by drivers footwell is bad exhaust blow by either from flex portion of Y pipe or bad flange seals / gasket or misc rust through or busted exhaust get it to a mech who can put it up on a lift while its running
@@J.phantom_noir yeah bro idek what the deal is it's leaking coolant pretty bad tho kinda by where the water pump is on the right side if ya in the car it's getting worse idk it's been doing alright but I went up the street maybe about 2 3 miles an it started to do it again just happened way faster
My 99s got 226000 i had multiple misfires ruff idle cel would come on if i was sitting to long at like a light i changed the coil packs spark plugs helped it for the most part but the cel came back on ieft it running an ran inside an it was on when i came out but it went away an hasn't came back on. When o start it it kinda revs up soon as it turns on an will sit at 1500 rpms till it worms up but i uselly jist drive it soon after i start it because the the CEL when idle for awhile an its like it wanta to take off qhen i throw it in drive gotta be on the brake till rpms go dowm or i take off just gotta watch it
My bad just seeing this but Step 1...AVOID 1999'S lol theyre rigged with partial different emissions then prev 4th gens but its ok i had a 99 5 speed for like 2 yrs ....the 99 has different ecu pinning becuase extra pre cats ...diff idle air control valve which mine went bad i had to source used working one from a 99 plus change the ecu at same time and chip in the key and maybe tge transponder / antenna under driver side obd2 area ...if u only change iacv it 50/50 chance the new 1 while get faulted if you drove on it long enough b4 changing which i did ..anytime idle raised id pull over re-start n i was guud but it annoying...oh 1999' have diff evap configs at rear of the car so some parts u may source off 99 ..especially wiring harness with green push tab connector uggh such pain ...but its mostly same 4th gen stuff minus intake manifold cuzza iacv style
part 2 lol ..i re-read your comment and you deff need a "verified working " iacv ...only for 1999 if u search it looks rectangular...where as the 1995 to 1998 are Tri angular ....if u wind up finding good parts donor car or order off ebay ..used oem them remember the ecu knows its vin...meaning u must use a key with chip to same ecu ..or if the key is jank..pull out chip n swap in your key..soo Ecu...iacv...chip..antenna module n u dont need to program if the ecu, chip ..etc came off 99 had no issue with nats security ...the iacv has thin metsllic crush gasket behind it iirc dont loose it (vaccuum leak..codes, running rich or lean etc)...youve got i.g. mine is king_jay_infiniti if you wanna send an update on how things are going with the max

Idle Air control valve ...take off clean carbon see if itll help..if not find good O.e.m replacemnt soon to avoid having to get the iacv with ecu as i understand the iacv chip gets burnt out
My 99 has an oil leak i tuke it to the shop an had sum other stuff done to it an he thinks its my rare main seal is this a common problem with these years ?? He wasn't sure whefe it was coming from tho

Yo I’m located in the Bronx my 4th gens water pump went bad and the timing chain when I went to replace it is behind the teeth you have a shop or know a shop ?
look up 4th gen maxima water pump replacement ..guy name boardmember iirc..the water pump is timing chain driven and accessible thru the black inspection plates on your timing cover side ..in line with the frame of car via passenger side motor mount side...the pump is closer to the front the chain tensioner towards rear inspection plate ..its a pita becuase of likelihood to jump teeth n skip timing which woul cause u to then take off front timing cover with all that rtv sealant..also u need new chain tensioner ..leave the hold back pin in untill last...n i believe folkes have use diff methods to hold chain in place to avoid skipping teeth..u may have to use bolts from inspection plate or motor mount to help walk the water pump out if u dare to do it by yurself ..look up 4th gen maxima water pump replacemnt on the forums too

code stays on , you gotta know what the purpose of the knock sensor is in order to know how itll affect long term driveability ...knock , pre - detonation, what the sensor monitors and figure if uts significant to you enough to ignore or source a replacement or donor

If your check engine comes on and you don’t fix the error code, even if you erase it, it won’t pass
there are couple of monitors that are mandatory must be good to go ..you can pass with cel on ive done it in pass years ago ..the cel wasnt related to major monitors that needed to be "ready" ex : misfire, knock sensor, lean and richness...but lets say cat, egr, oxygen sensor are ready and u got a good baseline drive cycle with no erasing of codes ..u can pass

check evap hoses, make sure gas cap always closed till it clicks , check to make sure charcoal hasnt left your canister n made its way to front of your car, check evap vent solenoid to see if plunger isnt seized ..check your car forums

@@SLiveForTheMomentwow ..ok take that vent control off of the canister look for steel rod see if debris clogged it ..spray it with lubricant so it can slide freely ..sumtimes that happens because the rear evap system is behind the rear wheel splash guard collecting road particles n dust , water, mud etc

@@J.phantom_noir I’m having a misfire issue that I can’t seem to diagnose. I’ve cleaned MAF, IACV, Throttle body. Was getting a cylinder 1 misfire code check coils and the spark plug port cleaned it out there was a little oil. No more cylinder one misfire code then I got Evap and iacv code. It’s running a little better after the IACV cleaning but still shaking idk if it’s my trans and upper mount or if it’s internal combustion issue, fuel injector/pump, or timing
Vacuum leak ..or Spark plug tube replace for the oil leaking . Manifold /intake gasket sucking air?

My heat shield for the stock headers is broken off. Also , i still need to troubleshoot my advisory lights coming on when I rev above 3k rpm. Not sure what that is . Also thinking about adding a second optima battery in the trunk relocation. I’m not a mechanic but I try to keep up the car. Need more cash so I can shoot flames out the exhaust lol 😂.
