@@beka5906 1) make sure you pick a song that is high res. Many in their catalog are not and will continue to play at 44.1. Might have to try a few - you can confirm on the song screen as I did. The “old man” by Neil Young should work. 2) check if EOS under audio settings is on/off. Let me know.

On the Display you can read this. Hinweis Using the integrated Apple Music service provides a better user experience, including multi-device control. Due to changes in user policies or interface permissions by the service provider, this feature may become unavailable. This service only supports 44.1 kHz audio output, so please decide whether to use it at your discretion. I have do all steps you show. It does not work. Only Low Res.

​@@beka5906 Just to confirm. You are using the Apple Music app in the section "Music Apps" (at 1:39 min in the video). Follow the steps, and it still plays at 44.1khz ? I'll doublecheck if it's still working, but the separate app (the one with the Music Tone icon / Not Apple logo) should work fine.

@TheBeardedLibertarian ultimately sound is objective. Assuming you are referring to the Topping E70 DAC, that's a very good DAC imho. And rated quite high at: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/topping-e70-stereo-dac-review.39188/ (122.8) vs the Eversolo built-in dac at (117). Maybe borrow one and see if you find it to be richer in sound.

@axldavila So glad to hear that, figured it would help out some folks. Also make sure you turn on EOS in the settings (this bypasses the Android SRC restriction) and doesn't upsample, and output directly to the audio system. I might put up another video on that too.

@rajesht9694 since I already had the DAC, I did a comparison and to me it sounded richer, fuller, and soundstage more open going through it. So connected it, I'm continuing to play with it. Perhaps not surprising as it is rated higher on audioscience - www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/smsl-su-9-balanced-dac-review.16150/

@@josephkelly478 make sure your cable is correct. That bottom USB port connects directly to the square USB on my DAC. You do need to set “output” to DAC in settings. And set input on your DAC to USB. What is your DAC ?

@@malbers My DAC is the SMSL D6s and it's in USB but I still do not get sound. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@malbers the USB DAC output on my eversolo is not active. When I select it , it says no USB device detected. I wish I could send photos .

@@josephkelly478 interesting. That to me means the DAC isn’t being recognized. So I think Bad cable. Or the DAC isn’t set to USB. Check that.

@@anthonydavid1965 it’s really a great streamer and I can only see it get better w the firmware updates. Yes you can use the Eversolo app to control the streaming services.

To use the downloaded Apple Music app. You can cast the Eversolo to your Eversolo app and do it that way.

@@ilianstoimenov6619 I ran into some challenges w that too. I think your best bet is to just create a user acct w a password. Which I did too.

Some thoughts: 1) Make sure you select "DAC" as the source output, 2) Make sure it's connected to the bottom USB (not OTG), 3) In DAC Settings make sure to set "Follow system settings" for volume control to start, 4) in DAC settings make sure to pick the DSD setting correctly, most compatible is "DOP - DSD over PCM". @@malbers yes. Using the eq. Not sure if I’m missing something but don’t hear a difference when using it with the external dac.

@ScatPack-hb9we I’ll dig into it. But believe the EQ only works with internal player/dac. Not external.

To be honest, not sure the Bose revolve is good enough to hear the difference. Since it's a "Speaker" (like a headphone), you'd still need a DAC of sorts to play true lossless. You could try to set your mac to "lossless highest" quality (so your mac acts like a DAC), connect to the USB on the Revolve and see if you notice a difference / you could even try a 3.5mm audio cable to see. It should sound better than bluetooth.

I haven’t tried Aptoide.apk - worth trying. Do note the later versions of the Eversolo OS now adds EQ (for internal player only). I’d say try to download an EQ and try it out. The built in android OS does have limitations it seems, so not everything works..
