    You forgot to mention the SSP 24' away from the wall in a common area hallway. Why are so many people afraid to write up situations like this, or ignore them altogether? If you ignore the fact that NFPA 25 references you back to the installation standard constantly, remember that they also state that sprinklers need to be installed per the manufacturers requirements. There is no SSP sprinkler that will spray 24'. This IS a critical deficiency, but no one, including you, seem to worry about the life safety issues, you prefer to search for missing escutcheons. Just my thoughts. 30 years in fire sprinklers, NICET III Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems for over 15 years. I'm just dumbfounded at this new generation of fire sprinkler inspectors.

      Uh huh we got someone tapping about there resume lol. I wouldn’t brag to much about being NICET 3 bub. All that proves is you passed a test. I work for the biggest sprinkler company on this planet and some of there inspectors are NICET 2 and 3 and there don’t know there ass from a hole In the ground.

      I agree 100%. People get hung up on what they think they “aren’t” supposed to tell the customer. There is case history where companies get sued because their “inspector” failed to mention major issues (ie heads too far from walls) when the building burns down. So we can’t turn a blind eye. Anything you see needs to be on the report. Sure. Sure. Go ahead and put it in you “comments” section with your disclaimer about it “not being part of the report”. If that makes you feel better. I suggest going a step further and getting together with the client to start addressing things.

    For this career would you have to be on call?

    • @dalestone3152
      @dalestone3152 3 года назад

      Yes. I work for a fire protection company and since its considered a “life-sustaining” business, there is a 24 hour emergency call line and theres usually an on-call rotation for each employee to work certain weekends.
