I really liked 'hands on'. I think that's the only way to learn via video. I found the explanations a little confusing, but overall I liked the format. My initial idea was to go from power bi pro to 'superset' but I realized that it still isn't possible. I don't know if there is any open source and free tool that will allow us to make this exchange without feeling too much.

You can define text value and format based on that value. I.E if value = yellow then make background yellow. Maybe an updated feature.

In my case, I couldn´t change the name of the column because I wanted to hide only values for 2023 and keep 2024, I was showing YOY% and I don´t have values for 2022, so 2023 values were too big. I turned off text wrap for column header and values. It works fine. Thanks

Depends on how you define it. Self Service Analytics (SSA) over a governed/well modelled dataset aka new business questions on existing/modelled data can definitely be achieved in a SSA manner. Has been possible since well before the advent of the Modern Data Stack (MDS).

I have this measure that returns text such as 50/12% BAC+ = IF([# BAC+]>0, FORMAT([# BAC+],"0") & "/" & FORMAT([% BAC+],"0%"),"") I want to conditionally format this measure using the following measure Met Bac+ target = IF( [bac+ target]<1, "", IF( [% BAC+] < [bac+ target] * [lower bound], "#FF4136", -- Target Not Met IF( [% BAC+] < [bac+ target]*[middle bound], "#FF8F00", -- Close to Target "#2E7D32" -- Target Met ) ) ) however, Power BI does format the text values, what am I doing wrong in this case? I made our self-service data models because I was lazy and simply wanted to build drop and drag reports in seconds rather than bespoke report building that takes hours. Making the self-service models available nationwide was just the cherry on top. It also keeps the "data people" quiet.

OMG, who the hell is still giving this woman a platform? She never actually says anything, she just makes a lot of noises and strings random words together. It's like everyone thinks everyone else thinks she is making sense, and they don't want to be left out, so they nod along. You know what I've never seen her do? Pose a real world problem and explain how the solution works in her ecosystem, in clear language. She raised many millions and has not shown ANYTHING yet. Everyone that jumped on this "data mesh" buzzword bandwagon 2 or 3 years ago, has jumped off. At the Modern Data Stack Summit last year, it was being openly mocked (for good reason) during the keynote address. Just stop booking this grifter.

What if want to hide columns for some filters ??? not for all ??? I created customer wise sales of selected year and previous year and growth , but for first year there is no data of previous then want to hide growth and last year data ?? please suggest me stuck in this since 2 days

How do i hide a column for some users in PowerBI?

it's a great content! Just one skill to add will be Presentation (both creating & presenting). Majorly data people never takes that into account. Learnt that from experience. :D
