Het graveren van een gildepenning voor het Bossche Gilde van Goudsmeden. de penning is gemaakt ter gelegenheid van de officiële onthulling van het gildelogo op 2 april 2011. Aangeboden aan wethouder Bert Pauli van 's-Hertogenbosch. Het zilver is geleverd en gemeesterd door Noud Peters en gegraveerd door Lei Lennaerts. Beiden zijn meester verbonden aan het Bossche Gilde van Goudsmeden.

De onthulling van de eerste plaquette met het logo van het Bossche Gilde van Goudsmeden vond plaats op zaterdag 2 april 2011 in de Verwersstraat in 's-Hertogenbosch. Copper engraving with a burin. I'm engraving a circle in a copperplate with a portrait of the Austrian emperor Joseph II (1741-1790). I'm using old techniques to engraving a printable copper plate. The hand tool is called a burin.

You're on the stage of the Albert Hall London (with a full audience ) and just about to play a solemn carol, and your son suddenly asks you to transpose the key!!!
There's nothing quite as satisfying as getting that key change right! I had no idea Kate was such a serious pianist - she played the Goldberg variations, according to Rufus, around the house.
'He just changed the key.' Kate was a Spitfire right up until the end.

Did you use the burin only for the circle or the rest of engraving as well?
That's a good question. I just saw that I wrote in my comment that I engraved a circle. But you are right, I did the complete drawing and engraving.

Hi there, Guttegom. So does one always push this way with a burin? Or is there ever tapping for certain effects?
Hello Tracey, If a copperplate is being used for printing one only engraves lines. But it is possible to vary the depth of the lines. Shading is done by cross hatching and the distance between each line.

Kate looks incredibly healthy here considering she died so soon after from sarcoma cancer. What joyous blessings her family brings.

There was no NYC concert this year so it seems less like Christmas. Rufus sings this every year even though his mother and aunt originally thought it was a bit of a chestnut. Check out the McGarrigles/Wainwrights Xmas DVD of their 2008 concert, just released. The Kate/Anna background interview is a hoot.
I love the way Rufus looks at Jörn, and you were at the perfect angle to capture just that - thank you :D
