Actually iirc obsidian didn't get any say with this version, it was Private Division/Take Two's call to remake it. I heard the remaster version was made by China-based dev, and they charged much cheaper than other devs including Obsidian to remaster it. Though I much prefer the original one, the graphic isn't sharp but is less hideous.

Yeah...it's actually done by a studio originally founded in China. Called Virtuos. The original looks much better as compared to what's shown in this video though. But I played the original at the highest settings. I remember I had much higher fps too, as compared to the remaster.

They must have patched out the issues because the game runs completely fine for me right now 4k max settings 4090. I rarely drop below 100 fps if ever.

@@kamelkadri2843 yea the incompetence of the devs on this one blows my mind actually never seen anything like it, anyone with basic knowledge of pc gaming couldve done better than these devs, its almost like these devs aren't even gamers.

I played the original on release with the Xbox game pass a few years ago and the Spacers Choice is definitely a visual improvement. Especially the faces during dialog.

Some things I forgot - The eyes look much nicer in the newer version and I do think the newer version has screen space shadows but it seems downgraded? Hard to tell in this video.

@@labombaromba Yes, not an expert in these kinds of things :D just tried it out for fun. But you are right definitely. I think it looks better, performance was just an issue.

I just put it at 120 fps max, and it never hits that so it seems unlocked

@@fungames3571 if you notice other benchmarking videos, the numbers displayed are big, Most content creators know that many people, if not most, still use phones or tablets, not just PC. If you want more viewers it would be advantageous to re-do the video with a larger font for the stats counters..

Everything maximum, and motion blut etc on. They do have a scaling option but that makes the game very ugly so i turned that off. Both DLSS and frame generation are not available for this game. At this point i feel like DLSS 3.0 could smooth out the last remaining issues.

@@fungames3571 uh...that's crazy. It's a very graphically-intense AAA game, yet they didn't bother working in DLSS/FSR?? Wow... and here I was thinking about upgrading my 1080Ti to a 4070 (over a 'beefier' AMD or 3-series card just because I figured DLSS 3.0 would push it over, even though I mostly play smaller indie titles). I had figured just about every game from larger studios had DLSS support now. Damn... thanks for the response

@@intuit13 Yes true true! They did say they would implement it. So maybe keep it on your wishlist and check back later for when they implemented it. It's really a no go at this point to launch a graphically intensive game without DLSS/FSR.

AMD Ryzen 5950X 32 GB of RAM RTX 4090 Soooo it should definitly still be much better! But it's a start. Especially since it's running 4k at least.

Yes! And still feels so great. I wish more games had this sound and gore level of impact when you kill someone
