Yes, I hope we will see some Halla in the Veilguard too. With Ghilan'nain being present, I would think it wise to be prepared that we might see them differently than what we are used to. We know that the Black City was once the Golden City, and it was corrupted by the Blight, becoming the Black City. If you look at the imagery, starting with Origins, right up to Veilguard promotional content, it really appears that it was the place that the Evanuris were locked away, out of reach in the Fade. I would suggest looking at the imagery about the black city, intro sequence to Origins, about the Magisters breaching the fade, and some of the earlier Dreadwolf teasers, you see images of gold fading to black, and what is clearly a city in the imagery depicting the Dread Wolf and the creation of the Veil. The ancient Elves viewed the fade as the sky, and Arlathan was known to be a floating city. Additionally, in the release date trailer we seem to get a look inside the Black City, filled with statues of the Elven Gods. If the city was buried underground, as is the rumor in game, I think it would have been discovered by now. If you think about it, for Fen'Harel to lock away the Evanuris, imprisoning them in the fade, the easiest place to get them to gather would have been their Capital city of Arlathan. It is one of the first theories I had when playing origins so many years ago. There seems to be a lot of hints towards it, and I think that it would explain a lot of things that haven't been revealed yet. I expect we will find conclusive answers to many of these mysteries in The Veilguard.

I don't think that it's talking about Dirthamen himself, but one of his slaves or followers. "The sinner belongs to Dirthamen" is how its worded, which implies that he owned the individual, not that he was the individual. I hope that can help clarify it a little bit for you!

Thank you for the feedback! I did say the Vallaslin were much like Fenris' tattoos, not the same thing. We know they were slave tattoos, as were the ones on Fenris. Tevinter got most of their knowledge from what the ancient elves had done before the Evanuris were locked away. You are correct that it doesn't say that Falon'din was attempting to overthrow Elgar'nan, but it seems implied that that would be the outcome had they actually gone to war. It was a challenge to his authority. These are theories. Regarding the Old Gods and the Evanuris, it does seem like there is a connection, while it may not be that they are the same. It was the Old Gods who sent the Magisters Sidereal into the Black City where the Evanuris are imprisoned, why would they do that if they didn't have a connection to them? It was the Dragon that made Corypheus immortal, Solas clearly tells us that in Inquisition, that he had not thought that a Tevinter Magister would have figured out the secret to effective immortality. It's why the Red Lyrium Dragon had to be killed in order to kill Corypheus and not have him just respawn in the nearest blighted creature like an Archdemon would. We see the part of Corypheus spirit leave the dragon and return to him when the dragon was killed. It was a secret of the Evanuris, part of what gave them the semblence of divinity. The blight may also play a factor in this, as we know the Evanuris are also blighted. We have to assume, as Solas tells us in Inquisition, that the legends about the ancient elves are half wrong. The immortality of the ancient elves may have come from a variety of factors, such as blood magic, the blight, or dragon binding. We don't know for sure that all of the elves were immortal, it's just legends. Their lifespans may have been extended by the Evanuris through blood magic, similar to what we see with Zathrian in Origins, and when they were imprisoned by Solas, they lost their lifespans. It is speculation, hopefully we will get more answers in the Veilguard.

I reckon "the effective immortality" was protection against physical harm. As in, while the elves were immortal and could live forever, they could still be killed. As is evident from some stories like Andruil's hunts and Falon'din creating oceans of blood

We know there are counterparts to the Evanuris known as the Forgottone Ones, it could be them or the Old Gods are just creations of one of the Evanuris. I hope they reveal this in Veilguard
