What ammo are you using ?

Try cci mini mags and the high fps rounds since its a 20” barrel I think it needs the xtra power to cycle properly

Why did you buy the US Army version if you want to put aftermarket trigger, sights and grips on it? You could buy one new with modern features for the same price or a small amount more.

You can change the sights. Just need to know if it’s narrow tennon or wide

Good video. Glad you were having fun. I also have the rf 15 and love it. Not to be a teacher or anything like that. Just watch some videos on how to stand and hold the firearm while shooting. It will help you out and be more comfortable. But like I said good video and keep having fun.

From what I read, it works best with 40 grain, HV ammo (>1200 fps). 36 g HV may have insufficient force. What has worked for you other than CCI mini-mags?

No oil. Its the trigger sear. You need to gap the sear from bending and striking the interior of the furniture. Add a 2mil shim where the bolt rest in the open bolt locked position. Directly below there is a long trigger sear that S curves and rides against the magazine as a guide. The long sear is not lining up with both the bolt and firing pin releases. Simple fix with a small piece of copper sheet bent over the sear rail near the back of the bolt.

I had a viper in the 90’s. Unfortunately mine was a complete POS. Had nothing but problems with it. I don’t think it ever made it through a magazine even once. Doesn’t look like you are having any better luck with yours.

Mine came with a gen 2 P-mag but I have seen their shiny " HERE I AM" mags. Spraypaint that bad boy ASAP! 👍🏻

Hey bro excellent choice of rifle, I love mine. I've put somewhere around 2,500 rounds though it and the only issue I had was with a gen 2 P-mag everything else worked perfectly. Don't sweat people being judgmental either, it's your rifle you do whatever you want. How have you liked it this far?

I have a viper 5 22 its really nice for being built in the 90s very accurate it doesn't like stinger rounds found that out I guess they're a tad bit too long for the ejection port but other than that it’s a solid gun the only downside is that the magazines on eBay are like $50 apiece
