I bought this player new yesterday. It makes a grinding like noise when loading discs and when I first turn it on. Is this normal? Should I return this and get a Yamaha was considering?

On a pair of JBL TL260 at 92dB, would this amp manage to make them sing in a living room without distortion?

Здравствуйте! У меня версия на 805. Мне нравится топология и исполнение этого усилителя, но его звучание вызывает разочарование. Верхняя часть средних частот имеет подъем по амплитуде и сильно окрашивает звучание. Нет ясности и прозрачности... В крещендо - каша и слушать невозможно! Акустическая система - Magnepan mg 1.6 (магнепланар). Эти системы на многое способны ! И я в этом убедился. Слушал их всегда с транзисторным усилителем. Звучание поражало прозрачностью, детальностью и голографичностью сцены очень благородная подача материала и комфорт. Но когда я стал использовать этот усилитель с этими колонками, Мне показалось, что это 2 шага назад. У меня также есть ламповый DAC и ламповый усилитель для наушников Cayin. Качество звука в этом тракте меня вполне устраивает, в том числе и прозрачность и сцена = Наушники HIFIMAN ARYA V3( тоже планары open) + Stirling Silver Cable. То есть , у меня есть ориентир(!). Я сделал замену входных ламп на ECC83 Genalex Gold lion + 6SN7 LINLAI ELITE series (👍). Звук значительно улучшился, НО желаемого результата все равно не дал мне... Схема усилителя НЕ была изменена. Upgrade схемы НЕ был произведён. Прогрев положительных результатов не дал... Что Вы посоветуете делать?

Very nice. This would make a great companion for my R8 amp.

This one has me intrigued as I have an R8 (revised) currently running EL34 tubes, along with a Cayin EL84 amp. Just wondering how well the Bluetooth feature works for streaming. This sounds pretty good considering it's over RUclips, no matter what that expert down below is whining about.

I am still rocking my version 1 R8 from 2021 and still LOVE it. Thanks China HIfi and Mr Li Yongchuang and his team. I rolled in some Golden Lion KT88 and some Russion 1950's vintage tubes up front and paired with the Wiim ultra and Topping D50s and vintage Orpheus Aorora 1's or my trusty GR research xls encores it is so good :)

This amp needs a lot of upgrades before it's any good, but it is a good price for what you get.
