If you do lapidary work it needs to be on a wet wheel/lap and you should be wearing at least an N95 mask when doing it.
Yes I am a lapidary artist and jeweller. I do wear masks and work on a Genie. You can check out my other videos ❤️ thanks for your comment and for watching!
No clue here 😅
Apparently it is Quebec Obsidian! 👩🏻🔬
🎉
Where in Canada province & city, was this show?
The sale was at my studio store in Montreal Canada. 😌
@@femmemecaniquedesigns Thank you.
Merci 😊Julie
Avec plaisir 😊😍
Absolutely love your content. Hope to be able to visit Canada someday for the flee markets and mineral fairs. Thank you for sharing your passion!
Thanks 🙏😌🥰💎🪨
Have you cut any High Grade KingMan-Gold and Silver Ore, mined decades ago by a gentleman who passed on at his mid 90's/about a year and a half ago. it was mined back in 1940/50's. just in one rock goes from a light to dark color matrix and is rock freaking solid.
I have some nuggets from an old collection that are either kingman or sleeping beauty! Solid and very beautiful! But I would love to see the one you are referring to! 😍
nice video. there are so many variations / variety of jade.
I am going to the Asbestos mine in 2 weeks for the first time to try to find some! So excited 🥰
Do a cab, David.🎋🙌 Great video Julie!
Thanks tiger 🫶

I was headed down there and our truck broke down...downtown Denver
Nooooooooooo will you be able to attend today?
The blue fossilized coral specimens are magic. Glad you had an inspirational experience at the Denver show and thanks for taking us along.
😘Now I have to decide what to do with my store… less open days and more online live sales? Times are hard!
❤ loved the displays.
Yeah it is minimal but with pizzazz
Does your sample of black jade have any pyrites in it?
I have only cut a slab and none so far! I will let you know! He said no iron so I guess no pyrite? Nevertheless I will keep my eyes peeled 🤩
@@femmemecaniquedesignsI understood that the black color comes from magnetite. I live near the Bradshaws and have carved some. Some new material l have has some dark pyrite in it. I wasn't sure it is black jade. Would be much appreciated if you find some yes please let me know.
Inlay turquoise into the Jade, then set your stones using inlayed cabs, and accent stones, "Magnfique" your silverwork will enhance your custom stones. ~~~~
Black and turquoise is a winner for sure 🥳🥰
Very awesome Julie.. and I really enjoyed all the information on the Black Jade. THANKS!
Thanks John 🥰 🎉🎉
I am glad you enjoyed your time in Denver and got some good material
Thanks Robert! Weren’t you in one of Dave’s live in Denver?
I meet Dave and EBR when he was doing the sale of the opal jars.
@@robertroberts4876 nice 👍🥰

Thanks Don 🫶
Awesome. I didn’t know there was black jade from Arizona.
🎉🎉🎉
Me either
Style overload. Now I have another material on my want list. 😍
I can send you a small piece for our rock swap … ;)
@@femmemecaniquedesigns 😃
Great video Julie. Can’t wait to see what you make with the jade. Gonna have to get a couple pendant size slabs for Vicky and I.
It’s really easy to cut 👌 easier than my green nephrite!
The Arkansas diamond mine is open to the public too🎉
Amazing 🤩 🎉❤ thanks
Thanks Julie! Really pretty stuff and I can’t wait to see what you make with the black jade❤️

Kunzite is spodumene and aquamarine is beryl so they are not apart of the same mineral family as someone said in the video. Morganite is a variety of beryl.
Thanks I will try to look on RUclips if I can edit the video! I usually do research before putting out a video but I guess I was travelling and in a hurry! Not a good excuse! I appreciate your information greatly!
very nice video, see you got some killer material, happy cutting.
Thanks John 🙌🥰
Nice materials and great vendors that you visited with.
Yes 🙌 I was happy with my purchases 😍
Thanks. Trying to get caught up on some vids this morning.
Thanks for watching Ryan 😍
Magnifique, peux-tu m'embaucher s'il te plaît ?
Merci! Je n’ai pas besoin de plus d’employés pour l’instant mais vous pouvez envoyer votre cv!
You really found some beautiful material to work with. I love the turquoise. I have quite a bit of royston ribbon, #8, hubei, pixie and stuff from a bunch of other mines. A fellow phosphate phreak. The story about Tiffany stone is a bit of a downer. The company that owns the mineral rights to the Tiffany stone doesn't really appreciate the value of the rock. Tiffany stone is made up of opal, fluorite chalcedony, quartz, bertrandite and a few other minerals. The company smashes down the Tiffany stone mainly for the bertrandite, which is high in beryllium. So, there is still Tiffany stone, it's still only found in Utah, it's still being mined, but not really for the jewelry/lapidary market. The beryllium in it is more profitable for the mining company. Obviously, people still have ways of getting their hands on it, but it is difficult & fairly limited. That's the story of Tiffany stone as I understand it. These stories often lose some key details in the telling, but I think I did it justice to the person who told me about it. I'm a Utahn through & through, so rocks like Tiffany & crandallite & little green monster variscite from clay canyon are near & dear to my heart. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed.
Wow I appreciate the explanation for the Tiffany Stone! Thanks also for sharing your passion for phosphate! 🥰🪨🟢 I am going home in a few hours! Can’t wait tu cut my new material 😍
I've raw pieces of paridot 2
Cool! I never cut Peridot! 😍
It was wonderful shopping vicariously with you. It was so fun (making me want to go to a show soon). Thanks for taking us along and sharing your beautiful finds with us! Cheers.
Thanks for watching Karen 🤩🫶
Les rhodonite sont superbes!!! Ya vraiment du beau matériel . Toujours intéressant de voir quoi tu achète versus quoi moi j'aurais acheter.
Quels sont tes minéraux favoris?
@@femmemecaniquedesigns favoris?
Love the videos. Tell your bf I envy his set up
Thanks 🙏 The music / DJ set up ?

Very nice adventure. I think you have got the right idea, go from rough to finish. Make your creations the journey and hold joy in your heart all along the way. Simply wonderful. Thank you and Dave for sharing.
Thanks for your wonderful comment 🙌🙏❤️
