You dont remove this compressor like this. You remove only the shaft and not the top mounting of the whole thing :D just loosen these union nuts.

These years Silverado white either didn’t get rust inhibitor during manufacturer or the steel is defective. Mines almost rusted away. For the money I paid for the truck it should last longer.
