    Did the bolt swap work?

@@Mrzizzy69 I found the stock bolts were fine. The person that assembled my mower over tightened the deck hanger bolts. I loosened them up a little and the deck floats perfectly…

One other thing I am having issues with, is the choke cable is extremely close to the exhaust melting the plastic coating. I purchased a 72” cable and moved it to the other side. Problem solved..

Same here. Dealer replaced mine at 7 hours. Used it twice and its stuck again.

I have the TC 54", and it has chains so maybe Toro listened! However, I'm having problems with the chains. Every time I mowed, the chains got twisted and tangled, and that corner of the deck becomes an inch higher than the other 3. I greased the chain links, which helps a lot, but they still tangle on occasion. Thanks for the video!

I think if you flip the brackets 180 so that the slots are on the bottom that will fix the problem.

Nope..that won't work because the deck is in the way and cant float in the slot.

Somethings not quite right. It may be able to function with linkage brackets as the Toro engineers have designed it in this iteration, but the fact that they've installed shoulder bolts (on the bottom) where there is no slot in the bracket.... might be a leftover part usage from the previous iteration that did use chains. And the top bolt through the slotted bracket that indeed does seem to be tightened might be an adjustment setting, but these two examples of the mechanics of the deck height adjustability just do not appear to be the right way to do this change-up in the suspension of the deck, ....not necessarily wrong but could have been done an alternate, better way. The chain hanger deck was simple, durable, provided an easy way to disconnect the deck for maintenance and was a well proven design. Maybe Toro decide to change up the suspension due to Toro wanting to give a foot pedal that locks forward when depressed, or maybe the new linkage design had something to do with accommodating the whole "My Ride" seated models. Is there a Toro engineer out there reading through these comments, or any other opinions as to why Toro bagged the chains for linkage brackets?? This post doesn't ID the Toro model number, does someone out there know?

That slotted arm is on upside down

      Or, it's an adjustment ?

    • @ross7684

Nope...the arm would hit the deck if flipped so not the solution.

The slotted deck lift brackets will only contact the deck lift pedal arm when the deck is lifted into the transport position. That’s when the deck is at its highest and the pedal is at its lowest. There is about 3/4” travel distance before the bracket touches the deck lift pedal arm. But who mows with the deck in that position? When the deck is lowered to its mowing position the distance between the slotted bracket and the deck lift pedal arm is greater than the length of the slot in the bracket. The bracket will never touch the deck lift pedal arm. Loosen the top bolts. I’m in doubt that this will cause the bolts to bend. If so, perhaps the bolts can be replaced with a pin of some sort.

On my 2024 Titan with MyRide, 3 of the four links were sliding properly, the forth is not sliding. I will loosen slightly and try it.

looks like the deck hanger is installed upside down. chains are made in China and were difficult to get for a while during the China virus. The flat stock hanger can be made easily by Toro here in the USA. I would flip the hanger over.

I have the exact same mower. When the deck is dropped into the mowing position the clearance is much greater. I purchased two shoulder bolts, swapped them out works great…

That’s weird that they would change that. If you look at the Toro titan 60 inch with myride, the deck is held on with chains instead of a bracket. I would try ordering the chains and switching them out.

Thanks for sharing this. Please keep us updated on any responses from Toro or updates. I have the MyRide, so I don't feel the jaring as much, but I'm concerned about the long term structural integrity
