Why You Should View Your Life In The Context of WAR
Have you ever felt like life is a battle? What if the struggles, challenges, and conflicts you face are not random, but part of a larger war? In this video, we explore the powerful biblical perspective of viewing your life in the context of war. Drawing on the wisdom of John Eldredge, who said, "Until we come to terms with war as the context of our days we will not understand life. We will misinterpret 90% of what is happening around us and to us," we dive deep into the spiritual realities that shape our existence.
Understanding life as a battlefield changes everything. It redefines how we approach our daily struggles, how we train ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritual...

My health in Jesus name
Thank You 💞
Amen
For me, these podcasts are the very best for believer insights and fun💞
Amen
I would think active seals would thank the 70% who dropped because without all the drops active seals wouldnt have this iconic cultural aura. Its not so special if say 10% drop.
This is so good. Thank you guys for each episode you put out. It’s so helpful
Thank You so much for sharing your ministry with us💞
how come there aren't any blacks in seals?
So good!
So the Bible, written by man, is also "gods authority"
Yep. Do you agree?
@@theimpossiblelifepodcast Im a Buddhist so "Gods authority" isn't a thing I prefer to believe that if theres a god, then the true rules and laws of the Spirit are baked into our being from the start. The moment pen hits paper it's liable to corruption. And the Bible is rife with that.
Amen!!
Another Thank You too for posting these discussions on the RUclips platform 💞
Amen
Thank You 💞
You're welcome 😊
Great value in rewatching 💞
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank You for allowing us to sit in here 💞
Shout out from Kansas City! 💯
Watching as a woman HOH. Whew! 🗣💨💨💨 LORD, do what only you can do.💜🎉
Former sailor here. Chiping paint is an everyday job in the Navy. Nothing wrong with it if you don't want your ship to rust away.
Imagine if an NFL team took its best prospective players who didn't make the final 53-man roster and ordered them to repaint the stadium. No special teams. No practice squad. No waivers. No free agency. Now imagine how much a Seal team dropout might be worth to another branch of the service. Or another branch of the federal or state government, especially when dozens of not-seals arrive at the same time. Frankly, why isn't there a line of recruiters waiting outside BUDS? Recency bias?
It should be noted they don't necessarily stay chipping paint but there were certainly candidates that quit and found themselves chipping paint the next day until they're assigned a job.
Facts why would a woman even think she’s physically and emotionally capable of being a seal
i am traiing to become a navy seal.
Amen
It’s sad I couldn’t go but if you guys don’t mind me asking what kind of land navigation tools did you use in land navigation in buds and what tips to learn land navigation
Compass. Map. Pencil. Ranger beads. That's it.
Not sure but i think 17% of people by average don't even make it through bootcamp. I was #8 of 13 through Special Weapons Coronado island. Never give up.
It already happened apparently
No it didn't. That was SWCC and the media likes to tout it. Don't believe the headlines.
👂
Thank You, Brothers 💞
Thank you gentlemen
Kobe last game he played he scored 60. V the Utah jazz. There was a game in 2006 or 2007 against the Toronto raptors where he scored 81 points. 😁
Get rid of tattoos...
32 years ago when I became a Christian, there was no discipleship. Sure, I asked for advice or there were those - and still are -who give unsolicited advice - BUT NO ONE stepped in to provide discipleship. I was going to say "true" discipleship but that's nonsense, it's discipleship or it's not. As a new Christian, I could not serve enough! That was my joy and a half. Bible study and prayer at the veteran's homeless shelter with other men who were vets and who were not. We wanted to care for those who apparently had no one and were mentally a mess. I loved serving youth and Royal Rangers (Assembly of God version of boy scouts) Although we were NOT allowed to be alone with a kid. The safest ministry for men was men's ministry or the homeless bible study. Discipling young people for me was not a simple process. Before my wife and I had kids, I was NOT mature enough to disciple another child - that would not have worked out AT ALL!! Single mother's with a son? Not going to happen. The church did not have a discipleship program nor did they want to. Our second church was a bit "liberal" as my wife put it but we had been churchless for two years and needed to have a church family. By then my wife was pregnant with our first. After birth and some time, we had opened our home for couple's groups. I served the nursery by caring for the babies and toddlers during service (by then father mentality kicked in) and attempted to recruit dads to serve the nursery but they just would not - only one dad. As well, moms were apprehensive to leave their babies with dads. It was eye opening for me!! I was amazed at the discrimination. I built the nursery with two way glass, Dutch doors in order to make moms feel more comfortable. The person in charge was a woman. Eventually, the pastor and his wife turned the place into one big therapy group, the pastor and another leader became licensed therapists. Women were placed onto a pedestal and men were instructed on how to make women happy, but we never heard about the women's role - even in our marriage groups. The pastors would use psyche authors to open service "along with" using scripture, citing the author as much - if not more than the Savior and using therapy as a substitute. Folks left and others divorced - us included, by then our kids were still young - 8 and 4. It was a horrible painful experience. Our marriage group was lead by another couple. All of the couples in our marriage group splintered and wouldn't even come around us in prayer. Two years in our home, not even the Pastor, his wife or the leadership ever reached out, same with the Sunday school leaders to our kids, no one. It was like we never existed. Church today is relationship at arm's distance. Except for women, they're good a relationship, BUT what type of relationship do they have? Is it Christ centered or just to keep from being lonely? SO many single women are professionals and are on meds - I hear this regularly and see it. Those women who are closer to blue collar are either married or "in a relationship" . The church here in NYC is so weak. Looking back, my Christ centered experience was short lived, most of our church lives were just gathering to hangout , even the marriage groups, we talked about our stuff but rarely applied scripture. There really isn't much of a Christ centered church life. People just hop churches like relationships. It's very sad. I'm not close with anyone in my current church - my Christian relationships are those who I met decades ago - just a few men, including one man who left the same church that we did, he as well is divorced. Two years ago I aligned myself with a church far from me here in NYC and became a member in order to have a regular place to be with "believers".... WOW, I just had a serious word of encouragement as I was writing this .... I was going to say that I am not going to attend church any longer but rather go it alone with a few friends BUT then I just heard the voice of encouragement say "OR you can do something about the problem"!! I think now I will become a gatherer!!! I can meet people anywhere, I am good at this. I have three brothers who I speak with daily and pray with and another older brother for advice and prayer - we hangout infrequently. I'm good at starting conversations and have been wanting to reach out on the street and in the "marketplace" - This is a good thing. I listen to you guys regularly, today I needed to interact because this topic is huge for relationship. Thank you for this! I was doing a "boo Hoo" now I am excited. I needed this and I think others do as well
This is my second time listening to this episode. It opened my eyes so much to understanding discipleship. Thanks guys for faithfully dropping these podcasts. Iv stopped listening to other podcast and just listen to yours cause there is so much in it that I have to listen to each episode multiple times.
@@RowanJohnsen We are honored to play our part and we are so grateful that it’s making you think and opening our eyes. Thats exactly what we hope to do.
I am 47 and battle with lust since I can remeber... It affects my whole life and those of others. Help me Spirit! This is going to kill me.
Deny your flesh, not lead it.😂
It’ll never happen because there’s only ONE STANDARD and that’s the way EVERYTHING should be.
Hell Week ain’t got shit on Hell *Month* That’s the month after your first kid’s born. Life’s just uphill from there. Like ascending from the Mariana Trench.

I used to work as a 3d shift computer network engineer. I had to quit that job and shift when I discovered having the same micro naps on a 30 min drive home under the rumbling of the car traveling on a highway.
Thank you guys.
Drowning is water in lungs, blacking out is going to sleep underwater important difference
I was in the 32nd Combat Comm when that movie came out. We laughed and laughed...
Spot on. The intense training is also to ensure they do not break easy cos in the field particularly to their situation you can be on your own. I was RM we started with 65 ended up with 15 originals. Importantly also it is a mental health check to be beasted and accept it. So fitness over body structure multiplied by mental strength.
Thank You 💞
Mormans know hope. Jehovas Witnesses know hope. Buddhists know hope. Catholics know hope. Every religion knows hope. What's your point?
Tell me you weren’t listening without telling me you weren’t listening…
Garrett you are such an inspiration! Thank you
I think it was better when I was active duty in the early eighties. You had to go to buds training already with a rate. Seals drew from about five or six different ratings at the time.
the G.I. Jane movie lost me when they said "most elite training on earth made up of the most experience operators who fail including Marine Recon, Army Ranger and Delta....I checked out there. BUDs is no question rough, but that's not at ALL how it works and nor do they pull from other branches. I think Delta is the only one who pulls from other branches.
I'm all for gender equality if they are EQUAL. But, the fact is the female body is not equal to the male body.
