Disney seems to have done a great job with the accurate body language of the characters. Yes, music plays a big role in controlling the emotions you have at certain scenes. But animals are all about body language and cat or dog, reacting defensive towards Scar or the hyenas approaching the cubs, well... the animators were perfectly accurate this time

Wow, this really brings back memories, I also cried when at this scene when I was a kid, I think I was 7-9yrs old at that time, but it's really surprising to see animals react to it too, that black dog was really sad😢 and crying

The cat thought he was in the middle of it, he looks behind him to comfort the little ones and to let them know he got everything under his cute little paws.

The pets don't understand it's not real. They don't even understand mirrors. But they can see the images and for the most part understand.

I think the best way to watch The Lion King is with your pets 💘

This remake may not be good, but it does a pretty darn good job at having even animals get invested and have opinions on the characters.
