I was 7 years old in 1980 and 17 by 1990 - best time to be a kid, tween and then teen, what I wouldn't do to go back to those days! We were having the time of our lives in the greatest decade ever and didn't even know it.

80s , biking up to my friends, endless sleepovers , playing & inventing sports & board games with ur best friends , listening to 80s rap & playing video games , watching movies & wresting. -- Never on the phone for more than 10 seconds. Mom would say see u at dinner time or see u tomorrow.

I was born in March 1984. I just turned 40 this year (still not thrilled about it). Really upsetting how fast time has gone by. I was really glad to be there as a kid in the very early days of the internet with my 486 Packard Bell and Windows 3.11, when it was a whole new world to explore. I was glad to be a kid during the Sega Genesis vs Super Nintendo playground wars (I was one of the very few Sega kids in my school unfortunately) I was glad to be there when the original Scifi channel launched (The 90s Scifi channel was perfection and I miss it so much) I remember when people had those massive satellite dishes in their yards that were as big as a car or larger. I remember when gas was always well under 2 dollars a gallon, closer to 1 dollar. I remember getting home from school and hopping on MSN messenger, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo! messenger, to talk to my friends and nephew. I remember coming home from school and turning on Toonami to watch my favorite show Tenchi Muyo at 5:30pm. I remember when the world felt like it made sense, when it didn't feel like it was falling apart at the seams more and more every day. When things were so much more hopeful. I wish I could go back to that time so much.
