I love to learn something new
Artemisia Gentileschi or Auguste Toulmouche!! My two favs!
Van Gogh
My brain was tickled when she pronounced Leonardo da vinci
I loved the video. Could you please do a similar video with the symbology analysis in the Tilma of Guadalupe?
Giuseppe Arcimboldo
Baroque is my fav so far
John 🎉
Sargent or Vermeer. Or have a bust made by Bernini.
Amazing, beautifully told.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos
Great stuff!
Bravo TS!
Fantastic video. Thanks, T! We were there 3 days ago, our second visit. I think you could do another dozen videos on the collection. Wow!
Thanks for youyr picks, sure to look for them next December when I visit London; I would also add Hals' Laughing Cavalier to my visit
Ha! I think it's in Berlin now on loan for a mindboaling Hals exhibit.
@@heqaib Once again thanks for the tip, Tatyana! Hopefully it will be back for December, which is when I'll visit London, or I will have to return to the Wallace next time for this masterpiece! 😄
@@rodrigoestrada8347 NB: Plan on spending more than one day at Wallace! I was blown away by the objects under the leather covers downstairs. There are so many unique gems. Cheers!
I love your videos ❤
Wow!
I love le Brun's paintings they are so beautiful and she did such wonderful 'complexions" on people - so life like. I did not know how small Fragonard's painting was ! I love the movement in The Swing and wouldn't it be fabulous to put on her elegant dress and hat and have a twirl in it ! lol
Festoon
John William Waterhouse 😊
I would love for Holbein to paint me as he did Anna, Duchess of Cleves or for Dürer to make me one of his Four Horsemen.
That's so clear... Good explanation
This is part of the Chanuka story.... Even as a child I loved her bravery and ruthlessness. This painting saddened me the first time I saw it- I know she never exposed herself like that, but I realize that the artist must have imagined her this way- magnificent, unapologetic.
*500 years in the future* “If you see big eyes, unrealistic hair and a extremely large chest with a toothpick waste it’s from the 2020s :D”
Tamara de Lempicka or Alexandre Cabanel.
norman rockwell but he passes the canvas to Georgia O’Keefe and Paul Cezanne
Woah, great explanation! I didn't see those candles, nice detail
Baroque is what everyone thinks renaissance is! Most of the time when people say “wow this photo looks like a renaissance painting”, they mean baroque
in many of the paintings I’ve seen in the video, there’s always the presence of…bouncy looking cheeks. Not those, the cheeks on a persons face😔 like they always look so soft
ok,but how does late antiquity and very early medieval differ from medieval as in 1200s onwards.
Love Bernini art
Amazing 😮😮😮😮
Yuko Tatsushima, definitely.
Im so lucky i got to see paintings from all these great masters!
Definitely Anders Zorn. All of his portraits look like they could spring to life at any time. He added such humanity to all his works.
This is an amazing painting. This is Peak Man. Peak because He is showing humanity when the world knows Who He is. Halleluia
Thank you so much for this video and introducing us to Plautilla Nelli. May I ask what is the item on Jesus plate? It looks quite surreal. Also the exact context within the Renaissance would be helpful in regards to Rococo and Mannerism? Thanks so much.
Really hard to choose... I love Alphonse Mucha's and J.C. Leyendecker's styles, but Fernando Amorsolo is another solid contender. He's a Filipino artist that often depicts quaint farm life of the Filipino countryside, yet his control of light, dark, and movement give a bright energy to his pieces.
Salvador Dali.as Gala at the window
Definitely William A. Bouguereau
Thank you queen
Any artist that could make me look less like an outsized middle aged potato would do.
Vemeer or Rembrandt
❤
Caravaggio
Joseph Ducreux, the dude that painted those guys with really goofy expressions If I’m going to be immortalised in a beautiful painting, it should show my true nature of a silly little gal
Arcimboldo. With fruit.
Damn are you italian? Because you really have a great accent
Van Gogh, Mucha, or Magritte (i can’t pick
