Amazing views Scotland is beautiful 😍 big shout out from New York. I enjoy watching your videos. 😊
U cute🥰💕😘
Stick to the paths, stay off the moors
I can barely understand what he is saying, but he’s hot, so who cares about the language?
You must be very strong to lift all that on your shoulders!!!
You just (6 pm Friday 1st) strolled through the 1k subscribers mark.🍾🍾 Now on towards the 10k milestone.
Cheers Mike appreciate all your comments and support to the channel 🙌🏻
Adam from Texas, USA here loving your channel! Great content!!
Hello👋I just subscribed to your channel today, I also just gave you a like now.👍👌
Wow😍😍😍 realy cold n cool place dude😋😋👍👍😎😎👍
That splinter could’ve kept the fire going all night, it was huge.
New subscriber. Loved this bothy video! Sort of reminded me a bit of doing the camino in Spain a few years ago. Making friends with strangers on crazy, big hikes.
A good idea I to bring mole skin to put on the blister as soon as possible and you would be much more comfortable
Another great video. I know the area well..would have been a hard slog up to Ben Ime! Abyssinia didn't used to be an open bothy. Good walk is to head from Butterbridge through to Ardlui - or Loch Sloy and Ben Vorlich
Hey Jamie, yet another awesome video m8! My heart went out to you when you were hiking in that seriously wet bog with the rain pelting down ..... Easy for us guys sitting watching in warm homes 🙄 The other guys you met in the bothy look like sound lads. Great to meet up with guys like that on your adventures. Thanks for sharing m8, just 15 followers to go till you hit 1K. 😅
You've hit the high point of outdoor gear fashion. It's called the "Jamie's drookit rat" look.😂😂. I'd say that was a great start at bothy stays. It's always a lottery who you meet up with, but you hit it off with a good bunch and even managed to film a convivial night. Some groups would understandably veto cameras. Ben Ime and Narnairn are a great day out for a crisp winter day. Look forward to that😃
Amazing video mate💯👍
Boo 👻👻
The look out in the outer Hebrides is something to consider. It has a 180 degrees look out. Fab vid yesterday shame you didn’t get up the monroe better luck next time 🥾🥾👻✌️happy Halloween peace
What a great way to celebrate Halloween 👻, by watching a haunted bothy travel adventure 🥾
Great video
Yeah it's looks cool love you bro from Karachi ❤❤❤
Just discovered your channel. Great video - lovely scenery, and you have a a great warmth/ charisma narrating and presenting.
Amazing!
It beats me how otherwise sensible grown-ups can believe in the supernatural.
Love the video
New subs here ❤❤❤
That was a great video, thanks for sharing it with us. It looks like turning back was definintely the right thing to do and Beinn Ime will still be there when the weather is better. It looked like conditions were gettng worse and you wouldn't want to risk being overtaken by darkness. The bothy looks a whole lot of fun, nice and warm however much the wind and rain rage outside! Good to meet the other lads to socialise with also. The scenery round the bothy looks stunning as well, I've only driven through that area on my way to Inveraray, but I remember The Cobbler and the aptly named Rest and be thankful which I think is at the highest point on the A83.
keep going
Bagpipe music as you blew up ya sleeping pad would have been very effective lol Those old Bothy's have got a lot of character And what a great place to forge new friendships, or just share good vibes with like minded people
The reason I subscribed? I love hearing you speak…. Your accent and the tone of your voice…. I’m sure the content is good, but I’m usually mesmerized when you’re speaking.
I felt gutted for you, for not being able to do Beinn Ime this time. A bothy seems like a great idea for winter hiking! Have you been over to Skye, there was recently a great video on Kinloch Lodge that interested me in its beautiful setting…well it is nicer than a bothy, sometimes you need to mix it up! Happy hiking, Cheers
It's horrible when your plans go awry and a hill beats you Jamie - but aborting your walk when you did was totally the right thing to do, as you were soaked to the skin, and your heart wasn't really in carrying on - which is totally understandable. Obviously we all have to use what we have but, looking ahead, maybe you can consider some proper outdoor gear as what you wear in the street isn't really the best for bad weather adventures in the hills... That was a nice wee bothy to start with, and you had some great company that helped while away the night, too. Now, those firelogs are great for starting a fire - but you shouldn't need to take them out the paper... Normally, you just put a wee tear at either end to let the air in, and then light the paper... Then you add your kindling and then some wee bits of wood, gradually getting bigger as the fire takes hold - and if there's coal, then add it round about too, rather than just smother the flames with it all at once. As it happens you had plenty more fuel and you got it going anyway, but it won't always be as easy as that as some stoves or fireplaces are absolute bastards to light! Hence, best know how to build it properly! You could also take a few tealights or a couple of bigger candles if you have space, for a wee bit of light... As for other bothies, be sure to do your research as there are some that don't have stoves or fireplaces! Over Phawhope in the Borders is quite a decent one you can drive most of the way to, as is Brattleburn, to the west of Beattock. Both are surrounded by the rounded tops of the Border Fells that feel quite remote, but aren't super-high, given the time of year and your relative lack of experience. I take it with a name like JamboHikes you're based somewhere west of Edinburgh? I don't really follow it, but I'm actually in Gorgie! Take care of yourself now, Paul.
Another Fantastic Ultimate Destination. 👍
No waterproofs, but a bag full of heavy logs. I'd say the decisions made are the problem here. But these human errors are very watchable. We have no bothys or mountain huts down here in the South, so I'm jealous now the winter nights are so long. I was still in my tent last weekend.
Glad you turned back its not worth taking risks this time of year, the weather can change too quickly. Looks like it turned into a fun night at the bothy and yeah i look forward to see more of them in the future. I'm a little behind on your vlogs.. for some reason my youtube hasn't pushed them for a while. Another great adventure, take care and stay safe 😉
Someone on HUNTED HQ actually stayed there for a night a belive yo evade the hunters 🤣
Yeah you probs made the right decision there, the hill will still be there for next time. Best to live and fight another day.
Great video. That rucksack must weigh an utter tonne!!
Who brought the Bucky 😂
Great wee adventure. You looked pretty soaked there lol but that’s Scotland for you . Great stuff 🏴
I only come to this channel to watch the tall dark haired talent.
He is a handsome guy for sure...
Me too!
Jamie is tougher than any ghosts.
This was a fantastic video ,,the whole idea of a bothy is genius ,I'm coming back to Scotland in April,. The videos are getting better and better .
This was a fun one! The bothy looked scary to me. If this is one of the better ones as you stated it will be interesting to see what other bothies look like. All the guys seemed cool. It would be nice to run into them again. I have enjoyed your videos Jaime, I am sure you will hit 1000 subs soon. Braden~Houston,Texas.
Great comment Cheers Braden
😁 🎥
Another entertaining video Jamie cool
Can you get a fly sheet or second skin for your tent for the winter? Help to keep gale blown rain/snow out.⛈️ It looked to be doing a pretty good job in that storm. Your wild-eyed 4am face-shot was precious - if a bit scary🫨🫨 Scott was well set up. He must've had about 10 guy ropes nailing his tent down. No Jamie video would be complete without a bit of a drama or misadventure.😆 Just as well that you let the thumb puncture bleed out. Ferns/bracken contain toxins and chemical nasties that can do serious damage to your system if left untreated. It's why no animals will graze on it, even goats, that'll eat nigh on everything🐐
Great comment cheers Mike , I’m going to look into a fly sheet for the tent good suggestion 👍🏻
Hi dude.. Careful👍
Lookin kinda nippy lads. Bummer about no Sunday ferry. Music 👍👍 the size of that splinter 👀👀👀👀. Beautiful scenery. Great video. 💯💯
