Storm Chasing Arizona's Monsoon 2024
In August 2024 I spent 20 straight days chasing monsoon storms all over the state of Arizona.
Some days I was close to the Mexican border while other days I was close to the Utah border.
Storm chasing in Arizona can be a lot of fun, Yet very frustrating as well. Drive for hours for a storm to fizzle out before you arrive. Trying to find a nice areas to setup and photograph the storms was also frustrating.
Arizona has a lot of power lines, Very difficult to get away from it all, As well as all the development throughout the state. Finding a nice spot was a real challenge most days
I ended up with some awesome moments with some violent storms and had a great time overall.

During the low tides, Fish carcass' lay in the sand from recent fisherman cleaning their catch. This brings in several "HANGRY" Bald Eagles. May 10 2024 we were treated to a rare G5 Geomagnetic Storm, The last major storm similar to this one was dated back in 2003. Observing Aurora corona over head in the middle latitudes was simply jaw dropping.
