I was snowblowing a few days ago with $10 gloves (probably 40g Thinsulate) and my fingers started freezing, so I've also been debating between similar Carhartt gloves and that exact same model of the Wells Lamont (model 1124 for those wondering). I won't be dipping my hands in water, so whichever one is warmest for me will be best.

Oh, old military winter mittens are great too.
