I love this book so much. I have re read it so many times over the years. When I saw Penelope and Colin from Bridgerton it reminded me so much of this book.

Nice haul, I have been trying my best to go on a book buying ban. I have a ton of historical romance novels I currently own that I have to get through this year. I don't want historical romance to go away.

I have a cozy mystery on my kindle that I need to read, so hopefully I will like it. I am picky when it comes to those books. You know how I feel towards the present by Johanna Lindsey.

I just finished this book and 100% agree. I absolutely HATED the mistress scenes. I'm used to the hero having a mistress but as you said, not their loves scenes on the page. I also thought the mistress would play a part in Tasia being caught by the brother but it never happened. Both Lucas and Tasia were two different people from the beginning to the end of the book but it wasnt a believable transformation. There wasn't enough there for it to be a believable romance either. At one point during the start of their romance Tasia actually says to him, we never talk and I had to laugh because she called out the elephant in the room. They had a total of 2-3 conversations before he declared his undying love for her. Weird. Also, she just completely abandoned her religion during the second half. Despite all this, I still enjoyed it only because I wanted to keep turning the page even though it was a bit of a dumpster fire.

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe’s cover is very misleading. A lot of people have gotten confused as well. I just listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed it. I gave it 5 stars. I do feel like it definitely had Gilmore Girls vibes. It had a slight mystery, but it was very predictable. I didn’t mind that though. I need to check out the playlist, but i probably won’t like the selections for this book. I feel like each individual person should come up with their own playlist for a book. Logan definitely is cozy flannel, he did have abandonment issues, but can you blame the guy? His ex was a 🐝. I also loved how he put himself out there publicly to express his love for the heroine. Especially because he doesn’t put himself out there AT ALL. He doesn’t like attention on himself, and I totally get it. I would definitely move to this town. I loved the atmosphere, and I’m reading the second book right now. I also have the third book.

I need to look for a Christmas wreath in November.

I have done that myself, where I start reading a book and I say “wait a minute, this sounds familiar”. This is why I add the books in my DNF folder, so I don’t make that mistake again 😂. I did read How To Marry a Marquis, I don’t remember what I thought about it, because it’s been a long time, and I’m glad you loved it.

At least you’ve enjoyed both of these books for the most part, I just recently picked up a cozy mystery that’s a Christmas book. Hopefully I can read it in December. I got it for a 1.00, so if I don’t like it I didn’t pay much.

I have read a few trad published horror books and I wasn’t scared at all.

I have a Dollar Tree by me and my daughter’s and I love going there during the holiday season. My eldest loves finding things to decorate her room or mini stuff for her dolls.

I’ve been re-watching the first season of Buffy, and I can see how much better film quality has gotten, because the show is physically too dark in some places. I need to get to my local library more often, I know I’m lucky because mine is right down the street 🫣. I donate a lot of my books to them.

That young adult novel would have annoyed me 😂. I have a few YA books on my shelves I need to read one day

I love this series so far. I love the cute town characters. I adore Watson. I have high hopes for Ellery and Jack. Ellery's restoration of the family mansion is a nice arc.

I love Ellery too and was bit niffed with Jack as well. However compared to the love interests in some of Josh's other series Jack is a breath of fresh air. LOL

I finished reading Murder At Pirate's Cove this morning. I loved it. I actually enjoyed the mystery part of the story too and I think the writer played fair. I was actually surprised at who dunnit. There were enough clues there but the author was smart by guiding my attention elsewhere. LOL
