In my experience, bosses die plenty fast with the dungeon build I present, and movement speed is more the limiting factor in dungeon completion time. I can go way ahead of the pack and solo bosses, if playing with slow people. But if I do randoms, I sometimes also end up with people just as fast as me, and I can also form custom parties with such speed runners. The recipe to the fastest completion times is for everyone to be as fast as possible, and all attack the boss together, and then each person doesn’t need max dps. But if you’re running with other slow people and prioritize dps, you could try the raid build for dungeons, possibly swapping resplendent mane for unholy wall.

That’s definitely not as big a factor as you seem to assume it is. I’ve had 5k wings for a while, but if you see my reso in the video, I’m playing around 4k with a more ideal set of gems of different star counts. It also has a lot to do with choosing gear wisely based on the magic attributes I go over, etc. Even a f2p player can bridge the gap to someone several thousand reso higher who doesn’t optimize his build for pve. Just look at Indez’ channel to see the evidence from an actual f2p min-maxer. And the effect of cr (as long as you’re above the recommended) is even more minimal: it grants 11% increased damage when capped, and does literally nothing above that. If you want to understand the factors that impact dps in depth, I recommend Auroth’s ultimate guide to dps. It completely changed the way I thought about itemization (determining what’s *actually* a dps upgrade) and many other factors of dps optimization, most of them very f2p friendly.

Idk what your build is, but I imagine the raid build I present does significantly more than my dungeon build. You initially said your dps quadruples off horse, which would be crazy. But as I say, if you want to clear dungeons as fast as possible, you have to consider all the movement necessary to get around them. Time a full dungeon run on and off horse. And more meaningfully, average the times from many runs with the groups you tend to run with. The recent risk and rally event was an extreme example of the importance of movement speed and mobility in dungeons, but if you kill bosses in approximately 5 seconds, then a little more or less dps won’t make nearly as much difference as having the biggest movement speed buff in the game will.

I believe I show my total base cooldown reduction (from getting it on neck, gloves, both rings, and bottled hope), and I have all slots awakened. This puts me around the cap of 30% for draw and quarter. My sources for beneficial effects duration are: chest, legs, belt, boots, reforge on all 8 slots, rare head and shoulders runes, 2 vithus, and blessed pebble. Mao has a more detailed video on achieving max uptime on skills btw, with explanations including that there are two types of beneficial effects duration that work differently, and are not simply added together. Gotta get ready for work now, and my total cd reduction and beneficial effects duration may have changed since I recorded that video. But you really need to go for all sources of both attributes to achieve 100% draw and quarter uptime without sivket’s advantage. While you don’t have 100% mounted uptime, you may prefer to use those duration shoulders, and perhaps use Mao’s farming build while you’re working on those attributes. Cheers!

The armory can’t save the gear itself. It can only save the gear choices. It’s not an extension of your inventory and stash. It’s for conveniently switching between different gear and other choices. Btw the armory part of this video is still relevant, but the paragon system has totally changed. I might just have to make a new guide, at least for paragon.

I quit this game a year ago just came back, most essential components in the game seem to have been changed or updated like the Paragon System.

@ShimshonDI In your opinion, does it matter what slot legends gems are placed. I've heard people say no, but have seen so many in the same places. For example: Blood Soaked Jade is usually in the chest piece (top/right) I find that odd if it doesn't matter. Thanks.

@@Blaine-Bizbane it doesn’t matter which slots particular gems are socketed in. However, it matters which slots are awakened. One of your highest priority goals should be to awaken all slots, if you haven’t already. Now you can purchase the necessary dawning echoes for 10k plat instead of 1k orbs, and they lowered the requirement from r10 to r5. So for a f2p, low spender, and/or new/casual/returning player, I’d recommend starting with mostly 1 and 2 star gems and taking them to r5 to awaken slots asap. For specific legendary gem recommendations that are good for certain types of content for all classes, I’d refer you to Auroth’s recent “sexiest” legendary gem guide. As for which slots to awaken first if you don’t have them all awakened yet, notice that most grant either cooldown reduction or damage to a particular skill, whereas some give less useful bonuses like life to a summon. But the awakened bonus is determined by each particular essence, so your awakenings for the same slots will often do different things for different builds. Hence why you should just prioritize awakening them all.

Imho not by any of the means we have so far. The good news is other classes are getting convenient and efficient ways to apply shock. The latest is wizards with their new slow time helm. So you may receive a shock debuff from a party or raid member. Hopefully, crusaders will get a convenient/efficient means in the future.

No. Only the highest buff applies, whichever one that is at the time. In your example, you’d have only a 30% buff the whole time, whether one or two buffs were giving you 30%.

Hello and thanks for the comment! Barbs and saders can certainly move faster than dh’s, especially when comparing their high uptime abilities (sprint or horse vs shadow sight). And you will be further slowed down as a dh if you rely on holding down your primary attack in your farming build. This is why some dh’s like eg the spinning chakram essence that rotates around you for farming, as well as using daring swing or escape. That said, movement speed isn’t the only factor that affects farming speed. Aoe dps is also key, especially ranged aoe that can allow you to cut corners if the farming loop provides space for that. Unfortunately, there are other classes that I think are better for that as well, such as necromancers. All in all, I’m probably the slowest farming on dh compared to any other class. I know a couple of fast dh farmers, though, and they focus on maximizing their dps so that they can at least one shot packs. A dh who one shots packs will be a faster farmer than a barb or crusader who has to run back and forth over packs to kill them. As for maximizing your dps, I don’t know what tips you might benefit from, but I know that I’ve grown considerably in my knowledge about that from watching Auroth’s videos, starting with his ultimate dps guide. His videos are very long, but worth it imho if you really want to maximize your output. Cheers!

Well, moving further in the same time = faster, even though this effect of size is not reflected in your character sheet as movement speed. But I find what you say interesting about certain skills possibly hitting more area. I just switched to wizard, but plan to go necro next. Are you suggesting that the damage and fear from proximal fear or strange sojourn wraith form might hit in a larger radius?

Thank you for your support and questions! Plat sellers that you see in world chat can get your account permanently banned, as that’s against the terms of service. For gem advice for a f2p or low spender, I’d go for blood-soaked jade as your only 5 star for now. Even at rank 1, it gives you 10% movement speed, which is great for most PvP and pve content. It also increases your damage, and reduces damage taken, more the higher you rank it. Aside from that, I’d pick a combination of 1 and 2 star gems that are good for your class, or a versatile combination if you plan to class change. There’s a pretty crazy difference in the amount of duplicate gems and gem power it takes to rank up 1, 2, and 5 star gems. Once you start getting any of your gems to rank 10 (which should be relatively easy with a 1 star gem), an efficient use of money would be to awaken one slot at a time with orbs, choosing a slot whose awakened effect gives damage or cooldown reduction. Although higher resonance players have the advantage in PvP, all else equal, I know many lower resonance players who punch way above their weight by choosing mostly 1 and 2 star gems and awakening bonuses that really synergize with the rest of their build. There are other RUclipsrs who have videos making specific gem recommendations for f2p players, some of them general, and others class specific. I could maybe recommend a video or two depending on your class.

Recently, im using blood knight and i love using dash skill during PVP or PVE since IMO i can get some kills and be on the mid of leaderboard as long as my opponent reso not more than 3k in general. For legendary gems, currently im using Berseker, ML, Pain Clasp, Viper, P&C, Everlasting Torment, Maw, Fervent Fang. ⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@latifarifudin546hey sorry for the delayed response. Let me start by telling you which of those gems I’d definitely continue to use in PvP: ML, pain clasp, viper, and maw. As for which of the others is your weakest link, that’s a harder call imho. You could make a case for swapping out berserker’s eye for pvp, since it increases the damage you take as well. However, it’s still a popular pvp gem if it’s r10 and awakened. If not, that’d be my call. But definitely use it for pve even if not r10. P&C is generally considered decent, but most players don’t like that it alternates between primary and skill damage, so that you’re not getting much benefit if you’re using mostly the other at any given time. I think of everlasting torment as being most clearly good for a crusader using banner, as it requires a crit. However, it may be good enough with mother’s lament to be strong for you. Just always prioritize crit chance on gear slots that can have it (whether or not you’re using torment - it’s the most impactful dps attribute). Lastly, fervent fang is generally considered decent for PvP, more or less on par with P&C. However, it likewise has a drawback: it takes 10 hits to ramp up to maximum effect. This might happen surprisingly quickly (at the same time as you see the second beam from 4 grace), but it’s ideally suited to raids due to this ramping up mechanic. Based on the above, I would replace P&C, and safely use it as gem power. This is because P&C is equally B tier imho for both pve and PvP, whereas the other weak links for PvP could be good for pve.

@latifarifudin546 yes, I think bottled hope is a good replacement for P&C. Blessing of the worthy was considered one of the best melee gems from the original set, but as more gems have been added (far outpacing the two extra slots), I’d say it’s one you could take or leave. It’s one that I’m considering making dormant myself as I get some strong 1 and 2 stars to r10 and awaken slots.

In Zonshini’s recent video about his thoughts on the new attack speed gem (grim rhythm), he tests and confirms that the attack speed buff from that stacks with 4 vithus, which he says is unusual because attack speed buffs normally don’t stack. He says primary attack speed buffs are different, which I took to imply that they do stack with general attack speed buffs, although he didn’t specify this. Does Caarsen’s specify primary or not? I *think* primary buffs aren’t reflected on the character sheet, but I want to confirm this.

Thank you and I appreciate it! Knowing this game’s record of inconsistent UI design, I have learned to distrust its interface by default. But if two aspects of its interface are consistent (eg whether a movement speed source can exceed the soft cap, and whether it appears on the buff bar *with a duration*), that increases my confidence that they’re reflecting the true game mechanics. The detail you mention of a duration seems to be critical, as both the wb room and Ranger “buffs” for movement speed appear on the buff bar, but without a duration, and they’re passive sources rather than buffs. But then what about the massacre buffs? Those appear on the buff bar, but without a duration. None of the “buffs” in question trigger 4 vithus or bottled hope. Yet I assume the massacre buff is a buff in the sense that it’s not a passive source of movement speed, since it tops out at a higher value than the movement speed soft cap. So when you really dig, you find that “buff” doesn’t even have one consistent definition that applies to all aspects of the game mechanics. If I want to know if it’ll trigger 4 vithus and bottled hope, I test that. If I want to know if it’ll exceed the 20% movement speed soft cap, that seems to be an independent question.

Well gg ignoring literally every other piece of info and advice I lay out in those 18 min, but to make sure my recommendation of bsj for all players was in touch with the f2p players in my audience, I asked in my discord how long it should take a f2p player to acquire a bsj. One of our most knowledgeable and analytical f2p players responded: “21 weekly lairs * 3 unbound gems per lair = 63 gems from lairs per week. 12 party gems * 7 days = 84 gems from grouping each week so that’s 147 gems sellable per week if you group up and farm lairs. Assuming 1/6 of your drops are rubies, you’ll have roughly 120 gems that you can sell on market for max price. After taxes, that’s 40.8k plat in income from selling gems each week. So yiu can earn the plat to buy a 2/5 BSJ in less than 2 weeks as long as you can manage to snag one on the market (that part may be harder!)” And normal gems are just one source of plat for f2p. There’s also 1) daily codex 2) skill stones 3) familiars People are especially making a killing selling familiars now. When there’s a will, there’s a way, as long as you approach it with an open mind ready to learn and improve.

People are using alt accounts to collect pets and selling it to their main account and sell for profit if the pets are good. Use those platinum to buy more gem, 2k-3k Res is possible for 100% F2P depending on how much work you put in it 😂

Thank you for the questions. I play, record, and edit exclusively on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I wouldn’t say this build has no damage. Anything with the Heart of Grandeur chest will deal a fair amount of AoE damage. It also uses the shield glare burn helm, which keeps burning people when paired with the new offhand. However, the build is not designed to get kills. It actually has a fair amount of CC. Passive, low duration, but frequent CC. This comes from both condemn with the blind offhand, and shield glare with the new blind offhand. The point of this build *is* mostly to survive, especially when pushing idols as attackers. As defenders, you can use standard shield charge to knock people off the idols, too. Jessica, a top player on our server, came up with this build and described it to me. She is also deadly in vault with it. It’s hard to even get near her without getting blinded. I should really upload a video with her playing it.

Yeah, almost all these matches in the first week were completely unfair. It’ll get progressively more balanced as your reckoning buffs stack. We still intend to go for a blessed reign, but hopefully there should be some closer fights by week 7.
