Love the video. No hate ❤ I genuinely think you could have won this battle with some small adjustments: - Why were your fire pots (red pots you threw) not exploding? You’d have deleted hundreds of them with fire ballista ammo, which you can build in a siege. - Equip the executioner axe and carve through multiplied enemies. Especially with such low armour as looters, you’ll hold those battlements with 8 fians next to you. - Get to a good vantage point on the battlements near an arrow basket and you can take down hundreds of enemies in a siege like this. I understand you were playing as a Fian Champion in a custom battle, just leaving my advice for anyone who is looking for it during campaign mode!

i wish there was an actual video of tier-5 cataphracts vs tier-5 legionary, instead of tier-6 elite cataphracts, which a million youtube videos already demonstrate...

I am surprised that Fians won the battle. I think it's because of shield wall. If cathapracts used their polearm in the cgarge, they could take a lot of kills in the first charge. Fians would take a considerable amount of them without the shields but not as much as the charge. Cathapracts are absolute units of this game. They have heavy armor, they have heavily armored horses, they have shields, their polearm skill is too high, they have decent one hand skills. So in sum; they are tanky, fast and powerful.

These aren't axe men, axe men are heavy infantry with shields and one handed axes, these are line breakers, with two handed axes

When facing khans guard with fian champs I always make sure to have a cavalry detachment to interrupt their circling motion. If you can interrupt and get them to clunk up, they can be wrecked. I also try to fight them near rivers and bridges if I can. Inviting the horses into water, against a choke point, try to bait into village fights, etc. You really have to get creative. Khans guard are devastating. One of the most intimidating sights is seeing a massive 200 unit group of horse archers fly towards your archers while they’re still running to get a good position.

Fians are mean MFs but i doubt those fians could still fire an arrow after bathing in so much blood from those poor looters HAHAHA

Its different now. Maybe its the RBM Mod but the square formation is much tighter like a shield wall in all direction and cavalry gets stuck and then slaughtered.

Those Roman units must be trash. Only 4v1 verses looters and they struggled.
