    Shah name is NOT the book of king, it is major letter, kingly letter NOT to or for a king, the letter itself was a king like among the letters

    The Fitzgerald version has 75 quatrain and te ones cited here are nowhere to be seen in it, it seems as if everyone could weave poetry and say Omar did it... Who knows how many quatrains the original persian versions can count? All it says in the end is that you are made of stardust and in the end will return to dust while there is still hope for if your beloved walks by your grave while the moon is high and there may still be a memory of you living his heart. 🌹 Therefore the saying that says: You will live as long as someone loves you and the day no one loves you is the day when you will be truly dead. 🦉

    Walk softly here as you come by, As no one knows whose mighty warriors' s bones Feed the roses you see here bloom, And know that the ruins you see here Once belonged to long-forgotten kings 🌄

    Do you know attar??

    • @hassansherkatfanclub9613
      @hassansherkatfanclub9613 2 года назад

      Thank you for your question. Yes, attar is considered one of the most prominent Sufis of all time. Even Rumi, who is the most famous in the world, writes in his poetry about Attar, praising him by saying that 'Attar traveled the seven cities of Love, and we are still on the bend of the fist alley'.

    Hi. I live in neyshabour . Did you make this documantry ? It was very great . Although translated poem can not transfer all emotions but i learned many new things when read english version . And thats because persian language or farsi have many diffrenent meaning together . Think you a lot

      Hello e g, thank you for your kind words. It took almost three years to make this documentary. The math and astronomy, including the watercolor pages are from books that are over 800 years old. The translations of the poetry was another part of a very hard task. There was an intentional effort to make sure that not the meanings, but also the connotations were preserved, and as you noticed, unlike other translations, these translations all followed the rules of Iranian poetry such as weight and balance, and it was a very time consuming process.

    *Omar Khayyam was definitely not a Muslim. He was more like an atheist.* "The Koran! well, come put me to the test Lovely old book in hideous error drest Believe me, I can quote the Koran too, The unbeliever knows his Koran best." Omar Khayyam "And do you think that unto such as you, A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew, God gave the Secret, and denied it me? Well, well, what matters it! believe that too." Omar Khayyam

    Please if anyone knows the original persian quatrain, or even kurdish translation resembling this english quatrain of "khayyam" let me know. Thanks in advance Oh, threats of hell and hopes of paradise ! One thing at least is certain -this life flies; One thing is certain and the rest is lies; The flower that once has blown, forever dies.

    Typical westerner ruining our history by misinterpreting! Shame on you! I recomed every one ot listen to Russian or Turkish version of his poetry and History. What a shame. Persia is not the same as Iran. You will make people confuse Turkomans ,Iranians, persians and others in the region. Omar Khayam was of Turkick origin not Iranian nor Persian. Its and insut to our history uneducated and overated western Historians ruinined the world and cause many problemes we face today such as fake borders, civilwars and enthnic cleansing all cause by Idiotv pretending know it all Europens...

      Yes, the writer and director translated the poetry. It took over 2.5 years to complete this piece. The pictures of the old math and water color sufi pictures are all from hand written books of 800 to 900 years ago. (sorry about the delay in response)

And given the times and seriousness of religious persecution, him and other skeptics like him, had to play along with their fake support of "mysticism" out of fear of being executed. stop with that euro excuse making, and cope. The translations are agreed upon by a plethora of scholars around the world. its okay to admit you liked a nonbeliever.
