Two Car Garage Woodshop / Shop Tour 2024 / Woodworking Tools and Organization / Built by Bricker
Good video. But we have had a bad experience with Tosot. We spoke with there support before buying our 36000 BTU and was told it was a DYI. Not so we had a E1 error on one unit and was told it had to be installed by a HAVC tech and would not provide support. Very bad customer service,
Damn CNC is really taking the required skills out of this job. Looks good though.
you may see it as taking away from, but I see it as adding to. thanks for watching
Absolutely beautiful
Very kind, thank you!
Also really nice to do. I love giving people gifts even if they're not people who id refer to as my "friends."
This is really well said. Especially people that aren't expecting it and are unaware of the type of work I can do.
👍🏽 nice!!!
Very pretty
Thank you so much!
Nice
Thanks!
Nice! I wanted to learn 3d printing, so I made a bunch of ornaments, too. Great short. Nice narration, great shots, especially the soft end. Heading out to the lathe this morning. Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for the kind words and taking the time to comment! Merry Christmas to you and good luck with the 3D printing, that has started to peak my interest me as well!
Oh great. Another charcuterie board maker. We were running short.
If you looked at my channel, you would see I make tons of different things, its one of my favorite parts of woodworking. But if its not for you, thats ok, feel free to move on.
I disagree i think 150 tonns would close up that gap
ha maybe!
Square the fence to your bed and Use the fence bro.
Good tip, I should have used the fence, thanks.
Wow, great tip ! How come I never thought about that 🤔 Probably because I don't have space nor the money for a jointer 😜👎
Guess this video wasn't for you then, its ok there are lots of other videos on the internet.
Not always. If a board is slightly crooked at the edge it’s called a spring joint.
Ill look into that, thanks
Was getting ready to start my garage shop makeover (2 car garage that will also house household storage and two refrigerators….so this was super helpful. Not everyone can have a John Malecki size shop.
Im so glad to hear that this could be helpful to you. I hope to post a lot more small shop content in 2025 so be sure to follow along!
@ absolutely….keep crushing it Mr Bricker!
Hdpe?
HDPE stands for High-density polyethylene. It’s the molds you see that are a harder white plastic. They are amazing and what I recommend for frequent use. Also, HDPE makes GREAT miter bar runners for woodworking jigs like crosscut sleds. No expansion and contraction and slides smooth! I have a short on that, check it out
Hdtp?
Why are the dowels so big, my dude? There'd no wood left after you drill the holes....
Dowels were that big cuz I bought them in 36” lengths. Definitely would of been easier to cut them to a more manageable length before I started hammering them in ha
@@builtbybrickerAs a rule of thumb, your dowels should be no more than 1/3 the width of wood you're connecting it to. You lose a lot of strength when you cut dowel holes that big
@@crafterlula1328 I understand more now what you are saying and that never crossed my mind. I just liked the look of the larger diameter dowels rather than a more narrow one, but a stronger glue joint is something I need to consider. thanks!
Why didn’t you use to one from your apron?
Hahah that’s hilarious! Didn’t even realize I had one in my apron at that time. I’m getting so used to just grabbing for the tape measure on the magnetic bar now! This is why I have like 8 of these tape measures, they are always a mystery as to where they end up!
@ hahaha, they are mythical items
You are checking for square on the fence but you didn't even use it. 😂
I use it for the face of the board. People are telling me I should joint the edge first using the fence and then the face. Is that what you would recommend?
I’ve always heard the other way around. If you find out differently let me know.
Definitely the other way around. I was going to comment the same thing
I've always use the fence 😁
You lost at the end: round those ends with a router
Why not put two strips side by side. Or superglue a piece of metal to tape.
I will give one of these a try thanks for the idea!
Issue is it's out of the way as in you gotta bend back down to put it back. 100% you will leave it on yhe table or carry it across the shop and leave it else whwre
Dude, do you have a camera in my shop or something? I've done this 3 times today alone! ha
@builtbybricker nope just people are habit creatures and if it isn't in our face we will forget it lmfao I'm not bashing you I've just been there many times.
@@nickgamble4544 I get it, thanks for the suggestion!
I put these up in my shop and put my chisels on one and my machinist square
ooh that gives me a good idea to put one near the jointer with a machinist square on it. Thanks!
I love harbor freight. Nice idea!
Heck yea, I buy a clamp or two every time I go in too!
So good you need additional magnets to make them work. Save your dollars and buy a length of steel and some magnets instead
@@scottarnell8764 These cost $2 and would work better horizontally rather than vertically. Dont have steel laying around as im a woodworking shop
Looks like that round magnet is sliding around. Maybe glue the round magnet to the flat part of the tape
Thats a GREAT idea! Thanks!
Or just glue the larger magnet straight to the table...
@@Tabbasco2012 might try that, thanks!
Relateable.
haha
I use them for knives.
Thats a good one. Someone mentioned chisels, I like that idea too.
Ypu could use it for anything with ferrous metal! Wow
anything specifically in mind?
I like youryour apron where do you get it ?
thanks this is from Katz Moses Tools, also have matching kid ones which are awesome!
Great thank you
@@dirtbikehomies3081 no problem!
The magnetic strips work better when mounted horizontally. Also, be careful when mounting low. Leaning a wallet against a magnet with credit cards can erase the cards' magnetic stripes.
That makes a lot of sense! Thanks for sharing it.
Good thing it’s nearly 2025 and chips have been required and the standard for the last 5 years. Strip don’t matter
Nice jig
I've been getting a ton of use out of it this holiday season!
How do you charge it?
you have to take it down. So far I have to charge it about once a month or so depending on how I have the settings setup to record
Really cool work shoes
The sawdust in between his toes reminds him of the beach
@@zom8766 This is actually too funny!
people always love to see it!
That’s a bush not a Christmas tree 🎄

Lovely tray
Thank you!!
Is the vacuum pump required?
Yes, for this unit it is required and that’s where the saving comes from over the other units.
Does Tosot have spare parts? I messaged them asking about replacement parts and got NO REPLY. I'm hesitant to buy a system that cannot provide any replacement parts.
I have yet to run into that issue where I have needed parts. I would imagine most parts would be standardized mini split parts, but I'm no expert there.
To hang up your $100 blower you need $3000 worth of other tools!
this is how i do things, thanks for watching
Hello, what bolts did you use for the installation ? And also what drill attachments did you use? Thank you
@@raulhidalgo7204 I used 3” lag bolts to go into the wood studs. As far as the bolts to hang the air reel, they came with it.
Thanks for sharing!
@@westinghouse thank you, it performed well!
Small feedback, someone already addressed the part of the line not being pre changed, but you might have some drainage problems, the hole need to be made in 5 to 10 degree angle, for properly draining.. just be aware in the future....
I appreciate you checking out the video and commenting. I did do the angle for the line sets exiting the house, but you reminded me I did forget to mention it in the video. Admittedly, I'm new to the long form video and there is just so much to remember and so many moving parts in making a long video like this. Thanks again!
With all do respect, you did a horrible job. Pressure washer companies cost double the amount of buying one because they have the experience to do it right, and they also have the right equipment like a 4gpm with 4000 psi machines. They also have great surface cleaners and technique. They use chlorine to kill the mold. The only thing you did was take it out, not kill it so it will come right back. You also left a ton of stripes, means you went too fast with the surface cleaner.
I don't think I did a horrible job but I also don't think I did a professional job. Nor do I have a professional machine. The difference is, this is beyond good enough for me. I don't need a more powerful machine because this removed the dirt and that was all that what was needed.
@AQUINOTRASHLLCJUNKREMOVAL I appreciate your comment and understanding that I'm just a homeowner trying to pass on how I did something. Definitely know my way isn't the only or best way, its just how I got it done. Thanks again for your kindness, Have a good day!
Wtf mind as well have a professional do it.still looks like shit
I never understood why people want to live anywhere in or near a HOA. They're like a whole other small government to put up with.
You sure aren't wrong! For me, the area my wife's family and I grew up in, its not an option to NOT be in an HOA. There are only variations of stricter ones vs not. When I bought my house 12 years ago, there were very little involvement. Over the years, things have changed!
Thanks for your candid concise DIY video. I enjoy all the DIY mini-split videos but wish there were a klot more of a 2-3yr review of the make/model installed. Especially those that had tech support issues that were/were not addressed quickly.
next job is to get rid that HW tank for an on-demand. I put in an all electric Stieble Electron Pro to replace the 2 yr old 40gall I inherited & my gas bill dropped from $120/mo to $16/mo.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! It's a great idea for a future video and I will keep it in mind!
I had a plumber out and he said for a family of 5, the electric on demand water heaters cant keep up. Meaning if two people wanted to shower at same time it couldnt deliver hot water to both. I wish I had gas near me!! I could really use the space so I would LOVE to do it!
The lines on these units are not pre charged. The outdoor unit contains the charge from the factory.
You are right, thanks for the correction. I guess a better way to say it is the unit comes pre charged rather than it comes with precharged lines. Thanks for watching!
The machine should have come with vibration pads
hmm, if it did I missed them. Do you think my fix worked tho?
@ yes
@@noachsoffer they don't. I just installed the same unit. I mounted mine onto a wall hanging bracket, and the wall bracket kit came with them.
Excellent shop. My shop is also in a 2 car garage that has a seperate room for my dust collector and 2 big storage areas with doors. My shop is not near as neat as yours, but I do have a similar miter saw bench, and the drawers in my router table are like yours. Shops are great. I am currently building a "flip" cart for my sander/planer and an infeed table for the table saw. Thanks for the tour.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. That must be very nice to have the separate area for your dust collector, must reduct the noise a ton! I love shop videos as well, good luck with your upcoming projects!
Would you suggest installing the T track before or after the Formica laminate? If you do it before you have to account for the thickness of the Formica right?
I always install the t track after. This way you can be sure you are getting it perfectly flush
Great video, do you have the build plans for the boom arm?
Hey thanks so much. no plans, but its based of a lincolnstreet woodworks youtube video. Go check it out, he walks you through the whole build.
