Thanks, I've been walking in Scotland for years and never known the ticks be as bad as this year.
I did the same first day in 2022 but camped down by the river. You had fabulous weather. Looking forward to the rest of your journey.
I intended to walk a bit further, pleased we didn't the intended area wasn't as nice (not by the river). It looked nice nearer the bothy and the river when we looked that way the next day. Taking me ages to edit the video.
