What draws a person to a certain scale? I've heard the wild idea of having the tiny "Z" scale in the background to create the illusion of trains off in the distance!

is there more ho scale then o scale? because iu know ho and oo scale have compatible tracks but whats better?

From what I can make out, some Amtrack trains don't run every day, so see even two in a 24 hr period would be unusual. Possibly with the exception of the NE Corridor and parts of California. We only get one train a day, and then they shut up shop in winter. We don't get snow, so we are not well served. NZ.

Those type coaches perform best on 22" and higher radius curves. 18" curves are a struggle for them most times.

So.... i can believe it. Back in 98, shortly after my grandad passed away. I went down to the basement where he had his train layout. The day before, i had been running his trains to keep them in operational condition and after i was done i shut off the power pack and unplugged it. The following day, i went back down to get something from the freezer and just as i got to the basement steps, one of his locomotives powered up and rolled around the layout. I ran so fast up the steps ,i skipped steps to get upstairs as fast as possible,lol. After about 20 minutes, i went back down and looked at the power pack. Still unplugged and switched off. I came to a conclusion that grandad was just visiting and wanted to have some fun. A week later the layout was taken down by my family and the layout scrapped. I saved all the trains and layout details,buildings ...pretty much everything not nailed down.

Thomas and the whole cast is creepy as hell. Would you expect anything less?? Lol
