It's hard for me to decided how I want to play my tarnished. I don't know if I want prophet or sorcerer. I like the melee fighting but also I need magic too. The best thing about the wretched is that you get to build your character the way you want. Like a jack of all trades. I want to be all of the styles. I like the bleed style so far because it's something else but then I like the prophet's incantations. I wanted to make my character a prophet and a sorcerer build but the bleed from this blade called Reduvia is making me want to lean more on dexterity. I'm indecisive so wretched is pretty ok. I like the samurai so the good thing about wretched is that I can build my character into that.

I’m playing ESO on pc for 7 years now and thinking about switching to console for a while. For me it really fits what you’re saying. One big thing is the feeling of exploration that you lose by using addons, that’s for sure. But it is even more than that. ESO has not the best reward structure itself but its content can be really rewarding by completing it or achieving something with people you like for example. But using these addons which literally tells you what to do on which Boss in which time you just brainlessly walk around and do those tasks. That’s another big point and there are plenty more. And with all this fast paced stuff burning you out, stuff like questing becomes so meaningless to you cause it’s slow and doesn’t give you the biggest rewards. Eventhough it’s made with so much effort and love. Atleast that’s what happened to me over and over again. Will give it a try now on console and hope I can cure my old ESO heart to be able to enjoy this beautiful game for many more years to come! Thanks a lot for your words, man

Wretch is the best starting class if you want to respec all your stats, especially when it comes to PvP. Being able to change build and try different stuff is a total game changer.

The thing is is that for 99% of builds you’re gonna minimally raise those secondary stats above 10 anyway either for weapons requirements or to use incantations like say Bloodflame blade or flame, grant me strength.

imo, elden ring classes are only starting points. Eventually, all classes have the same stats at max level, lol. Now it is true that some starting points are more convenient than others but having the same final destination means that you can make up for any weakness via grinding/time investment. Imo, class selection only matters for speedrunning or challenge running. Wretch is a must pick for RL1 challenge runs as they are the only class that starts at level 1.

Playstation from day one, i like the fact a good mmorpg is on console and it works great, if im gonna play a mmorpg on pc then ill just play wow.

To me the whole point of the wretch is that it is flexible. So even though you may not use your arcane stat right now (even though you can always you the item discovery) at least you have the freedom to easily make an arcane build in the future when you find arcane scaling weapons. Same goes for all the stats. Today, I might want to be a melee build, tomorrow I pickup a sorcery and want to try spell casting.

i play on pc and have never installed an addon, but sometimes i do plug in a controller because it gives me the old skyrim vibes

I started on PC but play on Xbox as well, I enjoy Xbox more because my map isn't all cluttered with pins for literally everything, my big beautiful 60 inch screen is so immersive, and I can talk to people without installing an additional, and security compromised program to do it. Trials are just more relaxing and fun on Xbox too. I understand completely about the joy of exploration, when Gold Road dropped on Xbox, I had watched a video where a player ran from Daggerfall to Necrom, I spent a few hours that day doing the run, then I started the scribing grind.

I went pc to PlayStation as well. I noticed this with arpgs like Diablo 3 too. Even though you can play the game easier on mouse and keyboard. It just feels better with a controller and your feet up on a couch. Most people I try to get to play ESO quit because the combats too easy/boring. Addons just make it even more brain dead.

I don't like the fact that on console I had to pay $10 a month for a multiplayer subscription on Xbox. I don't have to do this on pc.

Only good thing console has over PC is the voice chat, I miss it but overall game runs better on PC. I can actually play Cyrildil in 4K 120 fps no dips in fps or latency.
